This Episcopal parish in Arkansas has taken neo-pagan liberal christianity to new heights!

Here is an excerpt but I recommend reading the above link. wowzers!

***CELEBRANT: Blessed are all you holy ones, the saints, you who have done the will of God, and now rejoice in the reward of Eternal joy.

Holy men and women who worshipped the All Holy One as Rama, Vishnu or the Lord Krishna, forest hermits, ascetics and wise ones whose lives were incarnations of the holy books the Vedas, Upanishads and Gita -

ALL: All you Hindu saints; we praise you for holy are you.

CELEBRANT: Monks, nuns and all holy followers of the blessed Buddha, who, in the peace of Zen, created peace in others; All who sought the bliss of Nirvana with dedication and practiced justice and compassion toward all.

ALL: All you Buddhist saints, we praise you for holy are you.*** 🤷🤷🤷

Hmm, I’m not surprised. This man is not truly christian, rather he is a religious fanatic. Bless…

Maybe if I wipe my *** and someone worships it, then this weirdo can praise it too. . .

(Did I say that out loud?)

Nothing new about this.

Sometime in the last 35 years, a Shinto priest sacrificed a squash on the high altar at St. John the Divine.

I actually AM stunned always that the Episcopal Church is this BRAZEN about it. They’re just full on pagans now. They don’t try to do things steadily or on the sly. They’re just out and about and openly mixing Christ with every pagan deity they can think of. They’re like Northern Israel vs. Judah during the divided monarchy years. They mix the true God with lesser images of a false one. They’re Samaritans. It’s stunning to me not that they believe this tripe but because they actually get away with it and people are now no longer surprised or appauled! That’s what blows my mind. I have argued up one side and down the other with Episcopalians in here and they truly believe they’re in a Christian, godly church. That is what blows my mind and keeps my mind boggled. This bunch is off their rockers…What’s next—Baal?

Wow, now that’s a sacrifice any god would accept with great dignity and gratitude! Talk about an amazing, heart-felt thing to give up! A squash! LOL…For goodness sakes, he could’ve at least sacrificed an Asian pear or a Mango or something a little more expensive fruit and vegetable-wise! LOL…pagan…and a cheapskate! lol

You may need to retract that statement since there are some pretty expensive squashes out there! 😃

An agnostic friend asked me why every Catholic argument about morality includes the slippery slope. I said because history has shown it should.

This is another example of it

I think us Catholics on this Catholic forum should be far more concerned about this bit:
The Article:
Asked if he had written it, Doyle said no. He said he believes that a Roman Catholic priest Fr. Edward Hays, a longtime teacher, founder of a house of prayer, and author may have written it, but he wasn’t sure.
I’m far more curious whether this particular Catholic priest actually authored these words, and if so, has he sought counseling from his Bishop?

His prayer house was in good standing with his archdiocese in 1996 (it was 23 years old then).

I can’t find anything any newer about it.

Edit: Sorry for the late edit. I found the website. They claim to be in good standing still. Who knows

LOL…Perhaps it was a rare squash! Maybe it was exotic and a hybrid! lol…Out here in California, the central valley, we have awesome grafted fruit and mixtures. I have three “pluot” trees in my backyard alone—a fruit that is part apricot and part plum. Holy smokes, the most AWESOME fruit imaginable! That idiot should’ve sacrificed one of those! Pluots over squash I say for these pagans! LOL

Just flippin bizarre! It would be funny if it were a joke but it is not. The TEC wonders why it is loosing members, running budgets awash in debt, and having to attempt to keep people in by threatening to sue them for their property if they leave.

I remember reading not long ago about a female TEC minister who was also a practicing Muslim. Apparently she didn’t see any contradiction between the two religions.

What is TEC again…Did I ask you before…When I see things lkie this I think of
"Lord Lord…It just blow me away when I hear ministers denying the virgin birth and the inerrantcy of the scriptures…

TEC = The Episcopal Church

Thanks to those who are investigating the alleged authorship by a Catholic priest. I’m about to embark on my own investigation.

The Episcopal Church, the American Branch of the Anglican communion.

I recently spoke to an American who was a self-described Anglican. She warned us that she found the term “Episcopal” to be offensive, shows just how far they’ve gone.

This is alarming, but did you read the whole article in the link provided?

I am a former Episcopalian (Anglican) myself - happily, gratefully and gladly Catholic for more than 2 years now. But I know there are liberal and conservative strains in Anglicanism and I have had both types of priests as my pastor at different times. One of the liberal ones could almost have used something similar, his Archdeacon and Bishop would have thoroughly chewed him up for that; the conservative priests wouldn’t have touched this thing with three bargepoles lashed together.

But please note from the article:

When parishioners filed into St. John’s Episcopal Church in Harrison, Arkansas, on All Saints Sunday, November 1, they were handed a bulletin that sent shivers down the spines of many of the congregants. It was a case of inclusion gone wild.

Many of the parishioners were not happy with this!

Note this response from the Bishop of Arkansas:

*VOL contacted Arkansas Bishop Larry R. Benfield to ask if this liturgy had been approved. Through his communications officer Micah McConnell the bishop issued the following statement: *

“I am a supporter of interfaith dialogue. I look forward to the day when the many barriers that now separate us can be removed. But interfaith dialogue works best when we are confident of our own Christian faith and can articulate it clearly.”

He clearly does not support this “liturgy”.

Nor does this Bishop:

However, a former Episcopalian who is now a bishop in the Reformed Episcopal Church, the Rt. Rev Sam Seamans who received a copy of the bulletin incredulously asked, "Can you believe this? I really am at a loss, even coming from a TEC parish. It is truly unbelievable.

Asked why he forwarded this to VOL, the bishop said, "I do think that we need to expose these kinds of things because they are leading so many people astray. When a parishioner hands me something like this from an “Anglican” church in my own state I am going to respond - part of what we promise to do as bishops is to drive out strange and erroneous doctrines.

Before we Catholics brand all Anglicans as a result of this highly irregular liturgy, it is worth remembering that:
Episcopalians in here and they truly believe they’re in a Christian, godly church
It serves no good purpose to say that all Anglicans are pagan because of what we have read here. Many, many Anglicans are indeed devout, faithful and godly (I just wish they would all come home - but painting with such broad strokes will not bring them back, more likely make them feel totally unaccepted by Catholics.)
