Every child deserves a father and a mother. Some are denied that by unavoidable circumstances, and there is nothing we can do about that. But to deliberately thrust an innocent child into a bad situation is unfair, absurd, and uncalled-for.

It is extremely selfish of some people to satisfy their own desires and think of nobody else’s well-being,

Yes. Yes, you can. You can and you should.

If you’re a charity, it’s your duty to discriminate so that children are placed in the best possible homes.

ALL of the straight married couples will sin. EVERYBODY sins.

And every couple with children sends a message saying “This is normal and acceptable.”

A man and a woman bring something unique and indispensable to a family. Children need both a father and a mother.
No they don’t, look it up. A child brought up with same sex parents is according to the laws of average happier and safer than the average straight couple child, my friend’s got two mums and he’s loads nicer than a lot of other straight couple kids I know xx

People who love each other, without having a sexual side to their relationship, are what we call “friends.”

At least, on *this *planet.
I’m assuming you’re married, are you telling me you and your wife were just friends right up to the point you were in the chapel? You were never a couple before “I do”? xx

According to those people who want one plus one to equal three, it equals three.

I know tons of people who were raised by straight couples, and they’re all much nicer than kids raised by same-sex couples.

off topic.

Look, you’re on a forum where the VAST MAJORITY are absolutely opposed to gay marriage and gay adoption.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Individual cases, I used that as a first hand example but google it and same sex couple kids tend to be happier and more successful than other children. Btw my parents are straight xx

And this is according to whom?

I googled it and found proof that same-sex couples’ kids tend to be seriously messed up.

Back your point up then rather than dismissing it xx
Back up my point? I don’t even know what point you were trying to make.

The point of this thread is that some whacko is whining about a Catholic adoption agency’s policies.

Because its discriminatory xx

That your wrong about the friendship thing and gay adoption isn’t a bad thing xx

You’ve made that up. And can’t remember which but it was some psychaitric organisation. Take of your “filters” and look it up and I wouldn’t click on a religious website xx

The American founding fathers did not leave Europe because it was a hell hole. They are essentially the ones who turned Europe into a hell hole by protesting Catholic authority and emphasising the rights of individuals to legislate for themselves everything from secular law to moral law. Only after they spread their poisonous ideas across Christendom did they hop into boats, come over here, and start America.

We had our little rebellion against the heretical crown of England, and the eldest daughter of the Church said “me too!” Using the same exact principles laid out by the American founding fathers, the people of France rebelled and overthrew a legitimate Catholic sovereignty and formed an idolatrous, scandalous, morally repugnant republic. At least the Americans didn’t fight against a Catholic monarch for their independence. Nevertheless, the whole of Europe was soon to follow suit. The Catholic monarchs of the middle ages were pious and just. Christendom glorified Jesus Christ. All of Europe sang praise to the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, his Holy Mother, and the splendid glory of the Catholic Church. I welcome you to the modern world, where all of that has been destroyed by heretics and modernists.

In defence of the founding fathers, they weren’t the ones who really sparked this disgrace. That credit goes to the likes of Luther and the other dissidents who revolted against the Catholic Church. They sparked the enlightenment, and the modernism that came with it.

But at least people in the 13 colonies were still Christians, even though they were overwhelmingly protestant and hateful towards Catholicism. They established their laws discriminating against and punishing Catholics. But for some reason, Americans have least stayed in a Christian mindset the past 200 years, essentially freezing in time the view that the founding fathers had, which is of course now being attacked by all angles and dying a slow and painful death. Meanwhile, Europe has taken the ideas of the enlightenment to an absolute extreme, and while America fights to remain in 1776, Europe is moving into 2013… B.C. Thus we arrive at the present, where in a bizarre twist of events, America is truly the last bastion of Christianity in this world.

You are right good sirs, Europe is a hell hole. But today, so is the rest of the world.

As a supporter of same-sex marriage, I just want at least some people to know that most of us aren’t as militant as it may seem - the militant ones just get all the publicity. I, as well as most people I know who support same-sex marriage, think that religious organizations should be under no obligation whatsoever to perform any service that goes against their beliefs. I hate that we usually only hear from the most militant gay rights activists, because I think our differences of opinion and value can coexist much more easily than it is often made to seem.

Whenever there is a problem that affects the Catholic Church in Europe, some fellow Catholics are too quick to bash Europe ignoring the same or similar problems in their area. :sad_yes:

When the birth rate among homosexuals exceeds the heterosexual birth rate I’ll pay attention to you.

When vice is allowed to peacefully coexist with virtue, the later is corrupted.
