No. You must support the organization because they speak for the black community and disagreeing with them is trying to silence them which is racist.

Being “more to the story” doesn’t justify the murder of black men by police. Police are too quick to claim self defense just for an excuse to shoot a black man who is armed and justifiably fighting back against the jack booted thugs of the racist US regime.

When did BLM as an organization call for violence or publicly support that second statement?
I noticed you didn’t challenge the “marxist” part of my post.

I don’t know if the organization is “calling” for violence…but the seem to be associated with it

Your claims have no relation to anything that has actually happened. I doubt Jacob Blake was striking a blow against white supremacy. He was more likely determined to escape the consequences of the rape he committed.

Jacob Blake is today’s Rosa Parks, he will never give up his seat.

Or a Mark Rothko painting.
Actually, that became very political as to wills and heirship.

The WNBA for years stressed the femininity of its players and discouraged gay athletes from ‘coming out’. Then, when the proclivities in the league became obvious, it started instituting 'Pride night". I guess it stopped lying to itself.

So now we have sports like football and basketball which are majority minority. Can they continue ignore the concerns of minorities in America?

I’m tired of people thinking that entertainment and politics are somehow separate. Sports is political. Cinema is political. Theater is political.

“Oh no! I can no longer ignore the social issues of our day! 😱
Umm… one can turn it off and do something else, like read a book😱

Trouble is, the phrase has been hijacked and embraced as a motto for hypocrits, cowards, and criminals.

The democrats are losing votes because of this. My neighbor, a die hard liberal, told me that this general election will be the first time in his life that he is ever voted for a republican running for president. He said he is also voting for a republican mayor next time around for the first time.

Why ? He says the BLM movement has embraced behavior detremental to society.

“Looting, arson, assault, vandalism… these kids are no better than what has angered them. They chant no justice, no peace, and proceed to commit crimes. Petty vandalism isn’t enough. They commit felonies. Crimes that do not harm the police. No, they harm individual citizens. Some of whom may actually support the BLM message. …”

It would take me 10 more minutes to post all he said, getting angrier by the minute.

I stopped by my old workplace last night. “Here comes that old white guy” they said laughing. I’m thinking here we go again. So I asked them, most of which are Bernie supporters, so you guys going to vote for Biden ?

H*** no ! they said. So I asked who they were voting for. Some said they didn’t know and some said they weren’t going to even bother.

Yep, I’ve starting to realize all democrats aren’t stupid. And thankfully these lawless criminal protesters are small enough in number to be nothing more than pests. They want to act like they are all about racism in our police departments, but their behavior indicates it’s really just a bad case of " hey look at me".

They have taken the BLM message and turned it into a farce.

Once upon a time in America, sports and Christianity were at war. They fought to be the national religion. Sports won. Now sports has a new challenger, one that is much more aggressive, fights very dirty and has no regard for rules: politics.

Christopher Hitchens was wrong. It’s politics that poisons everything not religion.

The more divided we get, the more this is becoming a reality. Politics is breeding a greater divide than it has since the Civil War. Obama and Trump both have failed miserably in uniting the country. Clinton and Bush, and pretty much all before them, were able to work with both sides of the political spectrum.

Satire? Racial justice is nothing to satirize.
A single organisation has the capability to speak for all African Americans? This has to be the latest bizarre claim coming out of American politics along with looting is fine. That’s why most people including (name removed by moderator) think it’s absurd and funny.
If someone opposes Trump (like myself), the American head of state, s/he is opposing America? Of course not.

That’s completely different. Trump lost the popular vote. . . .

BLM speaks for black Americans because they’re the only organization planning and putting together the protests against the killing of black Americans. . . .

That’s completely different. Trump lost the popular vote and he’s a racist sexist bigot he has no authority to govern so opposing him is supporting America.
President Trump is the legally elected president, and has all the authority that the Constitution gives the position. You may not like him but that does not change his authority.
