What it will be, what we will be, has not yet been revealed. (1 John 3) As I see it, why believe in mediocrity? Why go for the middle ground? Why imagine just a “new, improved” earth that, like products in stores, is pretty much the same old thing?

We believe in an infinite God, Who promises us an eternity of bliss which cannot be described. Consider reading the first letter of John. It is a quick read, but offers much insight and hope for what will be.

Why imagine
God created us body and soul. We believe in the resurrection of the body. Of course our bodies will be perfected, or glorified, but why have a material body at all, if we are just going to be, in some never-changing perfect state? I imagine we will be fully alive, dynamic beings.

I expect that our souls are the template for our bodies, and they can be expressed in different media. Sort of like having a movie in either DVD or VCR format or maybe digital. Same movie, different media.
So in heaven we will get an upgrade, and will be able to appreciate heaven in ways we couldn’t in our current bodies.
