God’s eternal nature would include, as its Creator, all that is finite and all that has a beginning and no end such as ourselves.
God exists in eternity, that is outside and inside time as the Trinity - as Father, the Son who became one of us, and the Holy Spirit through whose graces we are guided to Him.

All I was saying that eternity (temporal) has a beginning so God cannot be eternal.

It sounds to me that you are begging the question, assuming eternity does not exist and using that assumption to conclude that eternity does not exist.
