Now this thread will be shut down like the sport hunting thread and I will have no one to force my opinions on
(PS. 4elise, if you ever hear from Fr. Corapi on sport hunting, start a new thread!)
bigfootbob: since you enjoy sparring with us gentle, peace loving “animal” folks–got any ideas for a NEW thead??? You’re great, enjoyed the discussion with you, and thanks for the tip on that comedian. His “fur coat” song was really funny!!!Now this thread will be shut down like the sport hunting thread and I will have no one to force my opinions on(PS. 4elise, if you ever hear from Fr. First we need to find something else we disagree on.bigfootbob: since you enjoy sparring with us gentle, peace loving “animal” folks–got any ideas for a NEW thead??? You’re great, enjoyed the discussion with you, and thanks for the tip on that comedian. His “fur coat” song was really funny!!!
There is nothing wrong with wearing fur.
Yes, it really would not be any fun if everyone agreed on everything.First we need to find something else we disagree on.
I may be wrong… but I thought I saw you post something about gun control a while back. Do you disagree with me on that subject?
To be honest I am not sure how I feel about gun control, but I don’t like guns, and there are way too many of them, and people get killed and injured… I’d like to see a world without guns…I suppose that can never be possible…First we need to find something else we disagree on.

:clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:…wearing fur spills into the list of needless indulgences, as I am convinced that human beings, have been given the knowledge and intelligence from God to find/create alternatives, can only want/desire to don fur, not need to.
Thanks.
Okay, I will start a new thread then on “The Back Fence”To be honest I am not sure how I feel about gun control, but I don’t like guns, and there are way too many of them, and people get killed and injured… I’d like to see a world without guns…I suppose that can never be possible…
You might be able to sway me to your side of thinking on that issue…maybe…who knows…
Actually, I would like to see civilization lose the blueprint for guns…then they could not be used in the wrong hands…but again, probably not possible…
You would never say that if you were frequently in the country on dark nights listening to the pitter-patter of not-so-little feet around you, and knew the range of critters that could be making it.I’d like to see a world without guns…I suppose that can never be possible…
Now I thought bigfootbob was talking about guns in the city and protecting yourself from intruders and criminals with guns (humans with guns to protect themselves against humans with guns). You would never say that if you were frequently in the country on dark nights listening to the pitter-patter of not-so-little feet around you, and knew the range of critters that could be making it.
In the city, the predators walk on two legs. In the country, it’s generally four. Now I thought bigfootbob was talking about guns in the city and protecting yourself from intruders and criminals with guns (humans with guns to protect themselves against humans with guns).
If it wasn’t guns, then man would just use something else.Actually, I would like to see civilization lose the blueprint for guns…then they could not be used in the wrong hands…but again, probably not possible…
That is true but guns make it easy. There is strict gun control in other countries. Guns should only be in the hands of those trained in their use and for specified purposes only.If it wasn’t guns, then man would just use something else.
I stole this from stanmaxkolbe, who no doubt stole it from someone else… so I feel justified in using it. If you would like to discuss it more, please go to the thread I made in “Back Fence”That is true but guns make it easy. There is strict gun control in other countries. A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control… From 1929 to 1953,
about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million
Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total
of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million*
political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000
Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million*.
You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens
Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are ‘citizens.’ Without them, we are ‘subjects’.
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade mainland United States because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.
The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
-SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN!
-SWITZERLAND 'S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE.
-SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!
Kennesaw, GA imposed a law that every head of household must keep at least one gun. The crime rates plummeted. In contrast, where there are the most gun laws, there is the highest crime rates. (NYC, DC, Chicago, Detroit)
IT’S A NO BRAINER! DON’T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.

I will go to your thread, thanks. Those examples were those of selective gun control done to overpower some. Have tried to start a new thread on “Is animal testing necessary” if you would like to disagree more.I stole this from stanmaxkolbe, who no doubt stole it from someone else… so I feel justified in using it. If you would like to discuss it more, please go to the thread I made in “Back Fence”
The gun control in Switzerland, mentioned above, does require gun training of citizens. And, those citizens (male) are required to keep submachine guns at home, not just guns. Sounds reasonable to me.That is true but guns make it easy. There is strict gun control in other countries. Guns should only be in the hands of those trained in their use and for specified purposes only.
I will disagree; better animals than humans.I will go to your thread, thanks. Those examples were those of selective gun control done to overpower some. Have tried to start a new thread on “Is animal testing necessary” if you would like to disagree more.Don’t know if it is is though.
