I have mentioned this before, and now its got me really HOT.

Our parish bulliten has this listed as a ministry!

Bad enough, they have done this all along, but now, its IN PRINT.

I am so FLIPPING MAD and need to report my pastor the sorry *&^% who I am very ANGRY with and see what happens.

THE PRIEST IS THE ONLY EUCHARISTIC MINISTER PEOPLE!

I am getting so tired of this *&^%

"Ephesians 4:26In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.:
Please bring it up with your priest in a non-confrontational manner before reporting him. It was most likely an honest error.

Dont think so.

Honest errors dont happen when a new pastor is assigned to a parish.
That has already dealt with my request to hear why God is referred to as a she all the live long day. Thanks be to God, it has not happened recently.

Honest errors dont happen at a CHRP meeting where a Priest is telling us that we ought to get used to the idea that we may no longer have daily Mass.

And, I have 4 PRIESTS in my parish and I hear this!

Dont get me going!

How about the “Honest errors” my Jesuit Priest has about pontificating on the Gospel WHILE HE IS READING IT, not after- in the homily!

How about, a former Pastor telling us married priests ought to be allowed (even though they are under certian circumstances- he thinks any married man ought to be a priest!** even if he is married before he decides to become one!)**

Really, dont get me going here.

One priest never said a poop when someone was bashing Opus Dei!

Not a word!

Bible? Dont get me going here.

Sorry to hear about this. It must be awful to have to put up with all of this. Look into moving Parish if you can. I wouldn’t stay in a place like that.

Regardless of what you decide to do, I’ll say a prayer for you so that these abuses stop and that the Priests return to orthodoxy.

Actually, that’s the only way. Once you are a priest you cannot marry - it’s men who were married first who become priests in the Eastern Church and the dispensation for converts.

Of course, “once a priest, always a priest” - but those who marry with a dispensation after ordination do not generally act as priests. They may exercise their priestly faculties only in emergencies.

You are right- I was so darn mad yesterday-

What I meant to say was this:

He thinks someone like my HUSBAND is Priest
MATERIAL.

I did not mean, just married first- I should have been clear

AND FAMILY and KIDS. AND NEVER A CALLING FOR OR DISCERNMENT for it!

Let alone being CLUELESS about the faith!

He is implying there is a HUGE CRISIS and that every MAN he thinks is a “good guy” ought to step up to the plate! He is promoting this thinking!

Sorry I missed all that part. Yes, one must decide before becoming ordained, yes! But not when you are older and have a family already and are being pressured to do something out of FEAR and lies!

Thanks Patience and Love, (well your screen name is calming me down a lot if I just repeat it over and over again, I may cool down a bit:o )

I left a message with my pastor today and I am documenting when I called, and the parish secretary who I spoke with to be hooked into his Vocie Mail. I documented my voice mail message word for word. I will keep calling until he calls me back. I want another meeting with him as soon as he is able to squeeze me in. I want a witness to the conversation though this time. I will have to have our entire discussion documented too. I will take notes, and ask him to sign off on them, that they were accurate and correctly reflected our conversation. If he refuses to talk to me about this, I will have no choice but to go higher up. I must calm down so I can get him to meet with me, and a witness of course. I know how he operates based on our last discussion.
That will not happen again. I will make sure he wont be able to fluff this one off.

Well if it makes you feel any better, (or worse), DH and I have been seeking out our new parish. There are 5 that are appx. 8 miles from our home. The one we tried last week was so far off that DH suggested we may need to go to Confession for having gone there.

I guess its rough all over now. Sorry to hear about your parish situation.

😦

I know others here have had some terrifying events unfold at their parish, and I must keep in mind my parish is not the only one that is well, wacko.

Thanks for reminding me of that and I should be thankful I can go to another parish a few minutes away that is a good one, but then I have the child in the school at my parish… oh how complicated things get…

Maybe I will feel better after some cherry garcia.

I just had a big piece of cake to help me feel better. I hope that the ice cream helps you.

There may be a glitch in the editing mode or something. I know there were some changes recently, maybe that is why.

Try posting it again?
OK, I simply tried quoting Ephesians 4:26. Perhaps I messed something up. I thought it would be odd for that to be edited out.

The Protestant conspiracy is proven right here folks!😛

LOL!!!

That made me laugh. Thank you, and thank you for the scripture.

I may need more than a bible for this though. I may need something heavier.

Most priests even use the term. Drives me absolutely nutty!

I wish a priest would post here on this thread and tell me why this is happening.

Dear hellilsreal, it’s a pity you’re not popess.

The church would be in MUCH better shape; don’t you think?

😦

Why do you say that?

If you think its all swell that this is happening, thats your perogative.

Apparently I can not be upset that these things are happening, huh?

Well, I am going to meet with the Pastor and find out why its happening.

Whatever your point is, I am not sure. Is there something I should be aware of? Am I wrong to find this distasteful?

Can you help shed some light on it for me?

I’m missing something. What’s the problem with this? What should they be called?
