Hey yall

I was talking to my deacon who said that he has seen miracles occur during the consecration at our church. He said only him and the priest could see it up on the altar…i forgot to ask him what he saw…and I’m waiting for the right moment to ask him…just wondering if any priest or deacons or religious or lay person has experiened any Eucharistic miracles personally…or any miracles…like apparitions or anything similar…

Just curious as things like this always strengthen my faith…I’ve been learning alot about the apparition of our Lady in Fatima…thanks

The forum has a longstanding rule that we do not discuss unapproved private revelations. Therefore, people who might have seen an apparition or had some private revelation are likely not going to want to post about it here.

Miracles are all around us. The problem is that they appear to be everyday occurrences. Best not to depend on so-called miracles for your faith - this leads to those chasing this or that supposed apparition and all sorts of foolishness and even superstition. We need none of that, because we have something far, far superior: the Lord Jesus Christ, Body, Blood, Soul and Divininty in the Holy Eucharist.

How about a personal miracle? Go and sit before our Lord at Adoration. Sit. Read. Pray. Tell Him of your doubts, your desires, whatever is bothering you.

Then, be as patient with Him as He has been with you. You may spend your life looking forward to it, or looking back on it, but as Fr. Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R. (R.I.P.). in his Rosary CD counsels us:
“When you are aware that He is there, you will be changed.”
I would be willing to bet that nearly everyone who has spent substantial time before our Lord has either received or witnessed some type of miracle, major, minor or in-between. But, do not go expecting some particular thing - that is putting the Lord to the test.

Simply ask Him to let you know that He is there.

I’m always very interested in miracles as well, my faith is not reliant on miracles, it is complimented by miracles. When I’m having a real bad day, or dry in my faith, all I have to do is think back to one of the miracles that has occurred to me and it always serves as a reminder of how powerful and awesome God is. When God turns ordinary into extraordinary it can be life changing.
I’ve never received one that is misleading or contrary to Church teaching or any that would require others to follow or believe, they are simply events to where the ordinary was made extraordinary by the power of God. I’ve got some I would love to share that show how loving God is, so I hope this blog (or my posts) do not get flagged.

Here is one, not a Eucharistic miracle, but just a giant hug from God type of miracle. I do not consider it private revelation, and neither should anyone else, as there was no visit by an angel nor a vision of God, nor am I telling anyone to consider it relative to Church teachings on faith and morals. It’s just a very cool event.

My wife was pregnant earlier this year. It would have been our first child together after 19 years of marriage, so you can just imagine how special that was for us, and factor in it was a Christmas baby. All was going well until one day my wife developed complications and had a miscarriage. We were devestated to say the least. Losing our child was by far the worst pain our hearts have ever known.

We are VERY strong in our faith, so we grieved and prayed while pouring our broken hearts out to the a Lord. Walking down the hall past the nursery to be was a dagger to the heart every time, it hurt! Then on the day after the doctor gave us the bad news, God turned our crippling grief into joy. There was this small lamp we had bought for the nursery, I was going to install that metal doohiky thing on the top that the shade sits on. My wife always worries about me getting shocked so she insisted I unplug it. I normally would have argued about that but not when she is grieving, so I reached down to unplug it. My heart was still so broke I had a hard time doing anything as i could not focus. As i stood up and stared at the lamp, like what do I do next, the miracle occurred - THE LAMP LIT UP PINK TWICE!!

I turned to my wife who was on the couch still grieving, the first thing out of her mouth was “I saw it too!” I turned back to the lamp just to check my sanity, it was definitely unplugged. I then walked towards my wife and back maybe three more times, the cord was just laying on the ground! A true miracle indeed!!! Lamps do not turn on without electricity, nor will a bulb turn pink without commands.

We went from crying our eyes out to pure joy in an instant, We were able to smile and we no longer felt like we lost our child but that God had gained a saint for heaven. You see, my wife had prayed, really crying out the day our baby passed away that she just wanted to know the sex of the baby since she would never be able to hold our child. And look at how God answered her prayers!!!

With that miracle we were then able to give her a name, Katie Francis, named after St. Catherine and my favorite St. Francis De Sales. What an incredible gift from God to shower us with His loving grace!!!

This was just the first miracle involving our daughter, wait until I tell you what happened in the first week of June!!

Awesome story dude…what happened in June?

And yes i understand this is not anything the Catholic church requires us to believe…full disclosure

Here is what happened. My wife managed to save the tiny body of our daughter when she had the miscarriage, out of love and her respect for human life. That’s absolutely amazing and shows what a beautiful woman I’m married to.

We had a funeral and buried little Katie Francis next to my father in a box my father had given my mother for their anniversary many years ago, it had a beautiful angel on it. Family and a life long friend of the family came. They brought flowers and some roses in a little lady bug pot. We received other gifts that had lady bug images as well. My mother in-law then began to call our daughter “Katie Bug.” It seemed to fit the personality she might have had since me and her mom love nature so much. We even bought my mom in-law a nice flower planter with a lady bug riding a tricycle for Mother’s Day in memory of Katie.

My wife and I went to the Smoky Mountains June 1st for our 20th anniversary. It is somewhere we really wanted to take our daughter as we have been there every year since our honeymoon.

Long story short. I had a dream the night of June 3rd, it was an old man holding up books of Scripture, naming them off quickly, and he says “3:15” with urgency, then he does it again with more emphasis, “3:15!” Then when I awoke early the next morning I was like what was that all about. I didn’t know what book of Scripture to search 3:15 for so I randomly picked Romans 3:15. It did not make sense so i brushed it off since that morning we were in a hurry to get somewhere.

I wish there were space to tell all the details but I will try and keep it short. We ended up somewhere we would have never been at that time or without interference of other tourists. Right after my wife took our picture with the National Park sign I turned to the side of the sign.

Guess what was there!!! A little lady bug rock. Guess what was on the rock!!! 315! And the note inside the bag … Proverbs 3:15. She is worth more than all the jewels! It was in honor of a couple who had lost their daughter too. They are from Syracuse NY, their area code…315.

Now before anyone thinks I’ve lost my mind, I have screenshots, pictures, and video to back it all up. This is what God does when we have faith, He loves, He heals, and He reaches out to us in times of need.

I have many more over the last ten years. It just blows my mind how loving God is. Simply put, man I love Him with all my heart and soul!!!

I wish I knew how to attach pictures on here.

Have you guys been/do you go to St. Francis De Sales Oratory in St.Louis, MO? I imagine you would love it

I have not been, but just Googled it. That’s really beautiful and is now upon my bucket list!!

Excellent! It’s my favorite mass and church in all of St.Louis, followed by the Cathedral Basilica. When you go, get close enough to witness the mass but allow room in-front of you to learn the cues

This is my testimony of the fulfillment of the scripture concerning the Eucharist.

John 6:53: So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.”

In 2001 I was diagnosed with MS at the age of 38. By the end of that year, I was totally dependant upon a power wheelchair. I won’t go into the details, but will only say I was in the wheelchair until early 2004. During those years of treatment, I was finally able to come ‘out’ of the wheelchair and begin the journey of walking again with the assistance of a walker at first, then graduating to a ‘walking cane.’

Mind you, I was NOT in church at all during this whole time, and this is ‘before’ I converted. My Uncle is Catholic, and would talk to me from time to time. That was back in the day when Mother Angela was really a big deal at EWTN, which I’m fortunate enough that is in my home state and only a 25 minute drive from where I live.

During those years of being in the wheelchair is when I watched EWTN and mostly, Mother Angelica. Her testimony of pain and suffering combined with my Uncle’s testimony of the Catholic Church resonated within my spirit. It was at that time, I felt within my spirit drawn to the Catholic Church.

Fortunately, there just so happened to be a Catholic Church 5 minutes away from me. Since I was now out of the wheelchair, I reached out to that Church and expressed my desire to move forward. I went through the RCIA and was proudly confirmed in 2005. At that time I was overweight because of being in the wheelchair and was just beginning my journey of walking again and being able to move around and gently/lightly exercise as I was able. But I was determined to continue my journey Home and knew that Satan was a lier and I continued the process to join the RCC.

After my Confirmation and I was able to continually week, after week, after week to partake, I noticed that that I was gaining more strength in my legs, had a bit more physical energy and was able to graduate from walker to cane. And today, at this moment, I’m proud to say that I am able more times than not, to walk without the cane.

I believe this to be a true testament of the fulfillment of the scriptures concerning the Eucharist. While it’s true I don’t purport this as a miracle, I certainly do believe that it is a direct truthfulness of John 6:53.

Where Jesus gives us ‘life’ via the Eucharist, by the nourishment of that life, I believe it also gives us strength in other areas of our lives as well. Therefor, I firmly believe within my heart of hearts that the Eucharist played a role in where I am at today as far as my mobility is concerned.

While it’s true I still suffer from the side effects of this illness and am still considered disabled, I truly believe that the Eucharist strengthens me to continue to this day with mobility and being able to live a life more freely as opposed to when I was in the wheelchair.

To God be the Glory!

That is incredible testimony! When I read it I think of John 6:44, “No man can come to me, except the Father, who hath sent me, draw him; and I will raise him up in the last day.”

You were drawn in and your faith began to grow, and look at you now!!! I’m from 'Bama too, we are so blessed that Mother Angelica made her home here and did the incredible things she did. Maybe I will bump into you at the Shrine someday!!

Wow that’s awesome. Welcome home to the Catholic church. I pray you continue to get better. It must be tough for you. I was in bed after surgery for 30 days and it was really difficult. I can only imagine how you must feel. Great testimony…
