How many of you have witnessed or exprirenced a Eucharistic miracle?

Aside from the ordinary miracle of just receiving the Eucharist at all, I have several times noticed what I consider to be a miracle. I don’t chew the host, but keep it on my tongue at the roof of my mouth. On my way to receive the Blood, it slowly begins to soften up, but not like anything made of bread that I have ever eaten. It actually starts to gelatinize (if that makes any sense at all) and forms soft, fleshy pieces. I was trying to describe it to someone, and all I could think of was that it seemed like very tender fat from a steak, but has the sort of wheaty flavor. (sorry if that seems gross, but it’s the only way I can get this experience across.)

Everytime we attend mass we all experience a Eucharistic miracle. What a joy the Lord has given us!

The most wonderful miracles are more than just things that happen. They are an experience of the heart. Jesus performed many miracles, but many people still did not believe in him because their hearts were hardened. So even though the miracle I experienced was not something that anyone else could observe, I treasure it in my heart.

One day, as soon as the consecrated wine touched my lips, I felt like I was receiving a deep, loving, passionate kiss. I did not feel liquid against my lips, but the warmth of lips upon lips. It felt exactly like the kind of kiss that a bridegroom gives to his bride at their wedding, an intimate moment that lingers beyond the actual meeting of the lips It is an experience I hope to never forget.

Cherub, I’ve had this feeling, too–that It really didn’t seem like bread sometimes–like It was of a fleshy, thick consistency…wow!

My dad had cancer and the doctors could not find the cancer’s exact location. They finally decided to check the bone marrow, which is a very painful test. It’s not uncommon for a farmer to have bone marrow cancer, because of pesticides. Before the he was tested he was able to attend a Mass.

He said this prayer before receiving Jesus.

"Jesus either heal me or give me the grace to take up my cross."

While receiving the precious Blood he experienced a warmth go through his entire body. He took the bone marrow test and it came back negative. Then everything that showed he had cancer came back negative. Thank you, Jesus

To God give the glory!

I have had one I will never forget. I am coming to the end of my three year commision as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. It has not been without its miracles.

The one I record here involves an evening when I was distributing the Host. Somewhere in the middle of the process as I said “The Body of Christ” I was given a momentary glance, insight, or understanding, if you will, into the great love and mercy contained within the small spotless Sacred Host. It was so strong I lost realisation of all that was around me and nearly collapsed. I had to fight hard to hold back the tears. I will never be able to explain the feeling so overwhelming and intense.

Ever since that day, I now tremble when called upon to act as an Extraordinary Minister to distribute Holy Communion. Each and every Host I take into my miserable hands now I adore before I distribute.

It has profoundly affected the way I view the presence of the Lord there in Sacred Host, and has changed forever my approach to Holy Mass and Holy Communion.

Thanks be to God.
