Am I missing something here?
At the Final Doxology when the priest does the minor elevation of the Eucharist:
Priest: Through him, with him, and in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours, almighty Father, for ever and ever.
All: Amen!
One of our priests always says “almighty God” instead of “almighty Father”.
Is there a reason behind this? Can the presider say it either way?
