Eucharistic procession draws nearly 2,000 at Planned Parenthood

Denver, Colo., Mar 10, 2016 / 12:19 am (CNA).- It was a powerful, solemn scene at Planned Parenthood in Stapleton, Colorado on Saturday morning as Denver Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila led some 1,800 Catholics in a Eucharistic procession seven times around the abortion clinic.

“It was truly a moment of grace, a moment of blessing, a moment of praying to our Lord that hearts may be changed,” Archbishop Aquila said. “It was wonderful to see how many turned out today.”

The archbishop announced his intention to lead the procession in mid-February, and the response to the event was overwhelmingly positive, said Karna Swanson, the communications director for the archdiocese.

I am glad so many people showed up to do the procession.
very encouraging to see this. I have participated in the 40 Days for Life in our community and we have a hard time getting people to sign up.
I am happy to see so many came to this vigil in Colorado.

Would be awesome if more things like this were happening all over. The more people, the absolutely better. People need to see this. It is powerful in and of itself, but that many… makes a very BOLD statement to the rest of the world.

I had no idea how many times we were supposed to go around. I thought maybe three, but when I lost track, I figured we must be doing seven laps to recall Jericho. I was praying to all of our guardian angels.
