I to have know Muslims who were nice and very friendly poeple just like you.

I agree with your remarks on some of the Muslims in this country. Not all would be friendly with Christians or Jews. It depend how religionist they are, the more religionist they are the less friendly they are and the less religionist they the more friendly they will be.

However those are regular people who live in my country.

"Have you every lived in a Muslim country?
Have you ever heard Muslims defend Christians who are persecuted?
Have you ever seen Muslims demonstrate against terrorism?
Have you ever read books by Muslims who speak out against fundamentalism?

I think if you sum things up you will find that Muslims on the whole are not friends of Christians. They might tolerate us but they do not defend us - they are not our friends. They want us all to be muslims like them at all cost!

I need to ask you something? What makes you so absolutely defensive of Muslims? Please answer this.

Our Government of Non-Vets even proposed Atom Bombs against Iran.
Far worse happened in Iraq. There was Zero, n o excuse or reason to conquer Iraq. Us doing so, All (Every) false reasons, and then initiating known International war crime, which we also signed off on, Torture of “suspects” (85% of whom knew nothing about Terrorist cells, plans) turned the once supporting Iraqis strongly against US occupation. And there was El Graibe Prison, torture, Etc, Etc Etc All Initiated by current administration, Falselly.
50-100,000 Iraqi’s have died, Over a million Fled Iraq, and Teerrorism developed to harrass us out. Catholic and Muslim lived together ideally, until the 'War" begun by our non-vet administration planned 2 years before 9/11. The entire world oposed our conquest of Iraq. Am Million % supporter of all our Armed Forces, but agree with Both of the last 2 Popes in opposing these ‘wars’, for false reasons.

What you have said about the causes of antagonism by the West in Iran is true. We need to re-build our relationship with Iran.

However, in regard to the hostility and hatred of Muslims towards Christians is a reality which is not productive and fruitful.

You single out Saudi Arabia but many Christians have suffered elsewhere. I have Egyptian friends who are of the Koptic faith and they have told horror stories. And if you saw the series on EWTN you will remember the horror of Egypt where they cut the throats of a number of Christians only because of their faith. There was also a program on Iran - there were 14 programs altogether - all to do with the persecution of Christians. Pakistan was another country mentioned. There is also antagonism in Sudan and Somalia… Muslims are aggressive and cruel.

If you have these good Muslim friends ask them what they think of the persecution of Christians. Ask them!

Indeed, Jeanne!!! Is highly Abnormal situation, certainly by one or more initiating hatred, lies, Ethnic religious Bias. Is totally abnormal, and certainly Law enforcement and National Security must be monitoring. History shows it takes only One Loudmouthed troublemaker to Initiate such. Is Totally Abnormal. Michigan site has been mentioned in National News for such. What is needed is a Committee of concerned to work together to Reduce, Resolve this Problem. Few know that the 1960’s Infamous Birmingham Ala Racial killings, bombings, hatreds were resolved by Cimmittee, Regional Leaders, President of USA, and Law Enforcement!!! FBI also!
What is the situation in South Africa, Jeanne? No excuse for any of this.

All the Muslims I have met here have been passive and nice. However, I notice that it is only since we had a change of Govt did we start seeing women with burkas - black with just a slit to see through. You get different kinds of Muslim - Pakistani, Coloured/Malays (mainly in the Cape area - very colourful and nice people - they love music and are very joyful) - I like them.

Anyway you sound like you should become an Ambassador for Christianity among Muslims. Who knows? You might even convert a few to Christianity - they can learn allabout our God of Love and Peace.

Islam in practice is not the same everywhere, and the Qu’ran lends itself quite well to justification of anti-christian violence in the name of Islam. EG: A muslim parent pulls me aside (physically grabbing me) and says “If you or any boy touches her, I will kill you.”

This is the typical experience I have with muslims: the moment they find out I’m Catholic (or think I’m Orthodox), they threaten my life. And I don’t live in a muslim country.

I can’t say that I’ve had any muslim friends; most muslims, when they realize I’m not going to convert, avoid me or threaten to kill me.

Our Lord, the Bible, and early tradition of Lord’s Church all required Priesthood to stay celibate, no children. They are ‘married’ to the Church, Full time. Catholic clergy are lucky to have One day a week off, non-working. Live in Jesus.

Different things for different people, same basic attitudes for all is what Lord wants.

Again, God and his Church want Celibacy for dedicated Clergy. Poverty is also scriptural instruction to the Apostles.
Those of us Able to raise families should Marry and do so.
I helped with the Nationally Mentioned hero (Viewing 10 hours) and Funeral Mass 2 weeks ago) who gave his life to save that of his 21 year old Downs syndrome son, an altar server at our Church. The Viet War Combat Hero and his wife,intenselly Catholic, have 48 Grandchildren, from 7 Sons, the oldest of who is a Priest. 2 are Marine Colonel and Marine First Lieutenant. extreme humility, always helping others brought Many Thousands for Viewing and Funeral Mass, with 80 priests. The cocelebrating Bishop only Incensed the massive congragation of all denominations. His son was the celebrant. 6 Sons with 48 Grandchildren of that deeply religious family. Are my friends, and everyones.

It was also news recently that Thomas Vander Woude (Can Google) was also volunteer Unpaid Coach at Christendom College, and local Catholic high school: Seton Hall.
And they are not wealthy! Modest Farm 15 miles away. Mr Vander Woude Built homes for each sons, on the family farm. And they were at each daily Mass, 18 mile drive. Traditional Catholicism, Lord’s Work get Noticed publically.

i was watching world over with raymond arroyo and rick santorum.
i think rick wrote a book about this or an article. when it happened, i remember hearing about it on the news or reading it online. i would like to know more about this brave man. he gave so much of his life.

I don’t know about America but here in South Africa I know that the Jesuits “earn” the equivalent of $200 per month, apart from gasoline for their cars (usually old Toyotas or beatles).

:amen: And the average Catholic Clergy (Nuns also) ‘work’ 6 days a week. And it is Not 9-5. Diocesan priests get one day off a week.
My Pastor of our now 10,000 Catholic Church works 8 AM to 10 PM daily, minimally. We were 3,000 January this year, but we opened our massive tradfitional Big Church Feb 2. One Third of the cost is vast number of Meeting rooms/Classrooms. We have over 60 organizations.

😃 :rotfl: Of course too many couples place their careers, above Needs for good family. Most newly married plan 1 or 2. Luckily, many find Children are Neatest, even have 3. 🙂
