Hi Ralphinal…

I believe their actions do it to themselves…but we include them in the Big Prayer…

this was very weird, creepy, unsettling! I am pretty tolerant, but i think this was way over the top. If i had been present, i would have left the assembly.
how could anyone even associate with such ?

Unbelievable. What do you think the early church Fathers would say, had they seen these abuses? I had no clue that this was going on, I heard of abuses in the Mass, but I never believed it has gotten out of control as these videos displayed.

I checked other videos, one thing that bothered me, is that Protestants and non catholics dont know that when ever an inverted cross is on or near the Popes Chair is a symbol of Peter’s will to be crucified upside down because he was not worthy of a death like his Lord, so he asked his executioners to crucify him upside down, and the Pope is his successor. It is not a symbol of evil as non catholics commonly mistaken it for.

Oh no the horrible Evangelical Prophetic Dance has become the RC Liturgical dance!

The rest is good. I don’t think the most Evangelical or Chrismatic Anglican would go anywhere near that far. I’m impressed.😃

Look like a Catholic mass but with all the additional trappings it could not be a public mass but a private one. It is certainly not allowed according to the GIRM (General Instruction of the Roman Missal) but the problem with private mass is that people are so inclined to modifiy certain features of the mass. It is not accepted and we should look into how much leeway we can allow private mass to deviate from the GIRM. There is no provision for any modification in the GIRM and so I think the mass in question is always problematic.

Gabriel 12, yes, and but this group is about the most extreme in the country…that happened outside of Chicago…(!)…and Pope Benedict is working in his own way for the restoration of the sacred.

Bibleprobe.com is run by an evangelical Arab Christian, former Catholic?, went to Catholic school. He points out the inverted cross and how these American fundamentalists are distorting and maligning our faith…

As I said elsewhere, the greatest scar on our country…witnessed by the world and … Hollywood, is fundamentalist American religion. Especially in the South. About 30 years ago, some people I knew traveled through and asked where a Catholic church was, and were told not to mention that to anyone there…

I also heard a commentator on a radio show say a few years back that really, it was in response to an Anabaptist insulting an Episcopalian that one of the founders of our Constitution put in the clause about government not endorsing any particular religion, but allowing freedom of religious expression.

There is great work needed in confronting this fundamentalism in our country, and they pride themselves in destroying the faith unity of our families…they do not have academic understanding of faith, culture, times, context, anthropology…in other words, it is faith alone – without reason. And have they behaved unreasonably to Catholics, Blacks and Jews.

You get on these liberal sites and they have such hatred for Christianity because of the fundamentalists.

I just got an email from a Fundamentalist who has a radio station and is working very hard to deal with what direction our country is taking.

He asked for immediate (name removed by moderator)ut.

The first thing I told him was the blight of Christianity and its ongoing fracturing, the bigotry against Catholics, blacks and Jews…

The first step is to stop maligning Catholics and study what we believe and our ancient history, and come to the Lord together.

I hope it is. I wish every Bishop where they are active would excommunicate them
one would hope so but what i see is that bishops are letting the people be deceived by these unfaithful leaders.

We’re too uneducated to fall for that stuff. You got to be real smart like to believe that God is wrong
I disagree with that, we were pretty sharp in my little suburb growing up… And we never fell for misguided stuff like that. I’d say this comes from a lack of trust in God.

I should have put a smiley so you would know I am joking

I was well aware, but I still took the oppertunity to comment. Mainly because believe it or not, there are a lot of people out there (you know, in particular agnostics) who actually do beleive you have to be stupid to worship God and live a Christian life. Basically your post, while in jest actually touched on a sore spot for me, because I’m ashamed to admit that there was a time when I was actually embarrsed to discuss my faith, admit my belief in God and most certainly to try and convert others because I believed exactly that. That mainly idiots believed in all this stuff.

Thankfully God didn’t give up on me, in my shameful pride and provided me the grace to overcome my own stupidity.

Where i live for school mass we have Liturgical dancers, a group of girls in leotards and waving scarves.

I must admit i dont get an understanding of the readings from it, i used to get more from homilies. But if this is what “the true Church” is doing it must be what G-d wants.

Maybe the girls should wear gold emulates as the pagans did.

Any way its a better show than the dancers at the pub.

There are norms regarding dance…I would have to check further but no time today.

Greetings KathleenGee; Jesus said; “if they persecuted me, they will persecute you” Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do… Lord Have Mercy on us…

I believe the reason fundamental attacks on Catholicism have compounded in the U.S is because the Catholic Church Bishops and Laity, forfeited many opportunities at the platform of fundamentalists to clear up all these verbal attacks and what is proven to be “lies” about the body of Jesus Christ in his Catholic Church. The Rock of faith remained in the shadows, but dawn is drawing near, and the Rock of Faith is getting clearer and better coming into view for all to see, when finally that day breaks, and all will see him as he is in his body the Catholic Church.

Like this second week of advent deals with the Prophets of hope, in fact all of the advent season include the prophets who give us the hope of faith.

God bless you

There is a funny story in our diocese, when a Pastor ( priest) allowed a group of indeginous dancers perform a dance ceremony with bowls and smoke to bring up the gifts while the Bishop was visiting for a confirmation Mass, The Bishop leaned over to the Pastor and told him; if they Ask for a sacrifice? I will give them your head. We have never seen these dancers never again in our diocese.
