Hi Always hope you had a good night, thanks mine was great.

Okay all the scripture you quoted do I believe it. Oh yes. That is my faith. There is not one quote that I do not agree with and believe.

Now lets make this easy. Got a easy question for you.

SHow me in scripture ONE place where its say we are justified by faith alone. If you can show me that in scripture you win. Now you first. You have to prove your point now. ITs time. Show me the money! Prove me wrong.

Now if I can show you my belief that we are not justified by faith alone will you renounce your belief in that unbiblical dogma?

Also while I got you busy.

Do we need to eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood in order to have eternal life?

Do we need to labor for the food which endures to eternal life?

Do we need to keep the commandments in order to have eternal life?

Does Love have anything to do with our Salvation?

Hi Rinnie!

I want to address this post first. After posting all that scripture that says we have eternal life in Christ through belief alone, I’m wondering how you can ask these questions. Jesus talked more about Heaven and Hell then anything else. Do you think He just forgot to mention these so-called requirements listed in your post? No!
Don’t you agree that the requirement of salvation, something as important as that, would be made plain in scripture? Yes! And it is. Look at all those posts that say “believe” plus nothing!

I don’t want to put you on the spot here with your Catholic friends who may not believe the Word of God by asking you what Jesus, the Apostles and Paul said because it is plainly posted. So I will just say that if you believe the Word of God, you know the answer to these questions you posted.

Let’s say that I believe in Jesus, but what I believe is that He is my Brother from another planet, and that He was not God. I believed the real God granted Him the ability to die for my sins, but just the ones for sure that I committed before I believed in Him.

Since I believe on this “Jesus”, am I saved? If not, what disqualifies me from salvation through His Blood?

Also was our Father Abraham justified by Faith Alone?
Don’t know, don’t care. Abraham is old covenant - the law. Jesus Christ is the new covenant - He freed us from the law of sin and death.

Rinnie, I don’t want to “win”. I already won when I believed the whole package - everything that Jesus did for me at the Cross, His death and resurrection.

I want YOU to win, but by winning I mean by believing too. You know, as Christians, there isn’t much that we are suppose to fear. His Word tells us to fear God, and to fear not believing the promises of Jesus and coming into His rest. (Heb. 4)

Please meditate on His Word:

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
~Galatians 2:16

(((Rinnie))) I hope you have a Spirit filled Easter full of His Grace, but most of all, I pray that you come to believe in the Jesus who said some 2000 years ago “It is finished”.

Okay Always. lets get to the Point. Please do not ignore this, you keep ignoring me. Time to be kind and answer. Just do this one thing show me the scripture. Show me where is says we are justified by FAITH ALONE. You keep saying in. Now show me it. Thats all I ask. It not about winning or losing you are right. Now lets see the truth. You say you have it show it. Show me, where my Church has misled me. Show me the scripture. No more beating around the bush. You say you want to help me do it. Time to show me!😃

You are right. I do know the answers. But I want to hear your answers? Why won’t you?

I will check back later for you to show me that scripture. Thats all I ask. If you have it show it! If you have it you can show it. If you don’t you won’t, because you can’t! Take all the time you need. But you must prove your point. Just like you make me prove mine.

Catholics believe. If this is all it is: “believe, plus nothing” then you are done here. That is If you truly believe what you are saying.

I am thinking that, for you, it is more along the lines of:

*“Believe… Plus, leave the Catholic Church. Plus, pick up this Bible that I own and listen to everything that I say about what is written in it. Plus do an alter call. Plus I have this sinners prayer for you to repeat after me. Plus… Plus… Plus…” *

Sounds like work righteousness to me.

God bless

Nothing could be clearer, so I don’t see how you can read this scripture and call it “beating around the bush”.

We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ.
We are not justified by works of the law.

Nope. I have no other motives but to speak the Truth of God’s Word. Just because I don’t “do” religion doesn’t mean I don’t want anyone else to! That’s just silly.

Tomorrow we celebrate the Resurrection of OUR Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Just sayin’.

I believe Christ is God. I believe He died for my sins. I believe I am saved by Grace alone…

But, I am Catholic and will remain Catholic.

Is all of this a-okay with you?

God bless

Sorry don’t see it yet. FAITH ALONE keep trying! Will check back later. By the way, will you answer my questions I posted? They are easy ones. STIll waiting!

We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ.
We are not justified by works of the law.
Do you believe that God will give or deny eternal life to every man accordimg to his works. Yes or No?

Always will be back Sun, or Mon. Happy Easter. Hope you will answer my questions though. THey are real important. God Bless!

You are right. I do know the answers. But I want to hear your answers? Why won’t you?
Do you want to hear my answers, or God’s? There can only be One Truth, right?

"If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. ~1 John 5:9-10

Do we need to eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood in order to have eternal life?
No. If we needed to to have eternal life, Jesus would have said “Do this in order to have eternal life” because He didn’t leave anything about salvation to chance.
We don’t do it to get something, especially something not promised! We do so solemnly and with reverence, glorifying Him for His sacrifice for us.

“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”~Matthew 26:26-28

“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” ~1 Corinthians 11:23-26

So what does God’s Word say about the purpose of the Lord’s Supper?
  1. To do it (take the Lord’s Supper)
  2. To do it in remembrance of Him and of His Blood that was shed for the sins of many
  3. To proclaim His death on the Cross until He comes again.
Do we need to labor for the food which endures to eternal life?
(Jesus speaking to some of the five thousand that had been fed)
"Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”
Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” ~John 6:26-29

Do we need to keep the commandments in order to have eternal life?
No. If we needed to keep the commandments in order to have eternal life, Jesus would have said “I go to prepare a place for you. Keep My commandments and you will be saved”. Did He say that? No. He said “Whosoever believes will have eternal life”
We keep His commandments because we love Him.

John 14:15
If you love Me, keep My commandments.

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

2 John 1:6
This is love, that we walk according to His commandments.

Does Love have anything to do with our Salvation?
Love has EVERYTHING to do with our salvation.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes shall have eternal life”.

Listen to the seriousness of this message where Jesus is quoting the prophesy of Isaiah:
Code:
" ‘ These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
~Matthew 15:8-9

Your first three questions are the doctrines of men. They are not Biblical. If they are taught to you as commandments, Jesus is saying that your worship is in vain.
