In Corinthians 1:17 I can read ‘For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel’ . Does it support evangelization without baptism ?

What is the context of this question?
To evangelize is to bring people to God. Jesus Christ is God. Jesus taught we should undergo baptism.
Wouldnt any person who wants to evangelize include Baptism in that process so that he or she can show people how to live the Christian life?

Paul had others do the baptizing, so that “True Baptism” was simply Baptism, and not “Baptism By Paul” to be real Baptism.

The same with Jesus; he baptized more disciples than that great baptizer, John, although Jesus never baptized anyone; his disciples did the baptizing. When the servant of his master does something to you, the master has actually done it to you.

No.

If a bishop from the Vatican comes to America at the behest of the Pope to preach, or to address the US Catholic Council of Bishops (USCCB), or to do whatever . . . .

. . . And someone asks him to Baptize them, this Vatican Bishop MIGHT say . . . . .

. . . .“The Pope did not send me to Baptize but to address the USCCB” (or whatever his business is).

This would NOT remove the mandate to Baptize.

Along with Baptism comes a mandate for catechesis, or with infants the promise of catechesis). (One exception would be imminent danger of death.) That is HOW you make a "disciple.
  • Baptism
  • Catechesis
MATTHEW 28:19-20a 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you
So this bishop being requested to Baptize would have an obligation to catechize.

So it would be quite natural for him to decline. (He MAY accept on the word of other’s catechesis such as the parish priest, then Baptize people, but he may choose not to as well. Either way is fine.)

St. Paul in today’s reading suggests here he was sent or led, to settle factional disputes in the Church at Corinth.

So Baptism of one faction’s people MIGHT be misused to say . . . “Well see. Paul Baptized OUR guys so the “Church of Apollos” is the correct one!”

The Gospel St. Paul was sent to preach here?

“Have no divisions among you!”

.
1st CORINTHIANS 1:10-13, 17 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no schisms among you; but that you be perfect in the same mind, and in the same judgment.

11 For it hath been signified unto me, my brethren, of you, by them that are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of Apollo; and I am of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul then crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul? . . .

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of speech, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.
.

As a matter of fact, St. Paul in that SAME letter to the Corinthians,
tells us how we got into that ONE BODY – (The Body of Christ).

Baptism!
1st CORINTHIANS 12:13 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body–Jews or Greeks, slaves or free–and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
How did we get into that ONE body? Baptism.

Baptism initiates and puts (serves as the “gateway” to as per CCC 1213) the Trinitrarian life within us (and puts us in Jesus) in a special way.

Hope this helps.

God bless.

No! Never!

What did Paul submit to when Ananias opened his eyes? What did Saint Peter write: “Baptism now saves you” “Rise and be baptized, each one of you for the forgiveness of your sins”

Far far too many references to baptism.

No baptism?

Then you are a fanboy but not a Christian.

Baptism happens after someone has been evangelized.

St Paul was an evangelist. The people who heard the Gospel from him would continue their instruction in the Faith with their local parish for a period of time, then, be baptized into the Church at the Easter Vigil.
