And now these very same people contradict their own line of thinking when they are now standing for making guns illegal. Just because its illegal doesnt mean people wont have access to guns. That is all.

nd itd also their argument for legalizing marijuana, to take the power away from the black market and now we can better regulate it and even tax it.

Wouldnt making guns illegal give more profit to the black market?

Contradictions all day. Its amazing that these people actually believe that they think for themselves and consider themselves “free thinkers.” In reality, these people only think what theyre fed.

Yes, they will still have them. Just as they did before they were legal.

And sadly, they would be under worse medical conditions.
not nearly as bad medical conditions as the baby who’s murdered:shrug:

Even if you ban murder, people will still do it…So why ban murder???

It’s the same thing…

What matters more is that our society wouldn’t be endorsing child murder, anymore. That matters more in the eyes of God then the stastistical number of abortions that occur.

That said, however, I do think banning abortion would dramatically cut down the total number of abortions, especially if we bring in stream-lined and effective adoption services as an alternative.

I agree with you 100%! Unfortunately, most of the abortions performed today are to
Afro-American women; and, the fact is, in the US, adoption of black children is difficult to impossible. Black couples do not adopt as many children as do caucasion couples, and in many areas, the public officials in charge of adoptions will not allow white couples to adopt black children because of political considerations.
This, historically, has been one of the excuses for justifying abortion by black politicians. I know I will be branded by some on this site as a racist, but all sensativities aside, facts are facts, especially when they are true.

Not very likely in the US. Even in the “old days” here in the US, most “illegal” abortions were performed by regular doctors in regular doctor’s offices. They were just done “under the table” and recorded as other proceedures. The medical conditions were actually much better then what you get in the unregulated abortion clinics today. Unless you fall for the old cannard of how many women were dying from “back alley” abortions that was used to push the legalization of abortion. The leading witness to those “statistics” later admitted it was all a lie. And as many women, if not more, are dying or suffering permanent damage from botched legal abortions.

Clearly, a certain portion of people will refrain from doing something just because it is made illegal. Beyond that, it boils down to two things: how much do you enforce the law and how severe are the penalties. If the enforcement and level of punishment for abortion were the same as for murder, abortion would be an occasional rather than an every day occurance. Yes, unfortunately it would still happen. But if a properly enforced and punished ban reduced the amount by 90-95%, that’s a lot of lives saved.

And next it will be illegal to kill the guy about to murder your entire family, because the criminal should be the one to get the benefit of safety.

Well so what?

I for one would consider it a great victory if public funding for abortion was withdrawn and it returned to the sinful endeavor it was prior to 1971 or there about.

Take the millions spent by our government paying for abortions, and use it for adoption counseling, and services. Women don’t even consider adoption! It’s kill it, or keep it. The K&K syndrome! Every high school should include classes on how to choose an adoptive family. What qualities would the Birth Parent want? Then present whom they chose, how open or closed they would want the adoption relationship to be, and why.

I have wonderful relationships with my children’s Birth Parents. Face book, phone calls, and occassional visits. Love it!

It’s a ridiculous argument and comparison, unless one assumes that the sole purpose of owning guns is to intentionally murder other people.

The interesting point that glares when anti gun histyricals claim a relationship between guns and the rise in violence, is that banning guns will only shift the emphasis for violence. If guns are confiscated then instead of mass murder, one can expect mass execution in it’s stead.

Likewise in the logic to establish a defense of neomalthusean efforts at population control through abortion. The logic runs pretty much in the same direction as the argument for gun control. In this case however the drama of back alleydom is foist upon our consciences in an effort to keep the practice of abortion main stream. The question that looms is; “Why would we want the back alleys and all that goes on in them made a matter of common acceptance.”

Isn’t the back alley a metaphor for the type of person who obstinately refuses common decency? Isn’t this society’s provision for such a person in order that the rest of us can aviod more easily that location that the sign post warns us lies just over there?

The back alley has both an entrance and more importantly an exit. Under pro abortionism it has only one gate, and that is entrance.

You are absolutely on the mark in this statement. You might remember the remarks of Margret Sanger who founded Planned Parenthood with the express purpose of eleminating minority groups entirely, with a special emphesis on the American black population.

There are associations founded by citizens of American decent ( I will not us the atrocious moniker “African-American”) who hold the very views you’ve expressed. Project 21 is the most prominent group founded and staffed entirely by our African decended friends. It is opposed to other black groups who support all those things Sanger would have approved of. There are other blacks who are first rate scholars such as Thomas Sowel and Allen West.

I say to you keep up the work your doing without fear of an accusation of racism. Never forget this term is a major tool in the box of the nefarious, the catiff and the sloth witted bafoon. It occurs to me incidentally that this is the raison daison d’etre of the left, in fact it’s very essence.

God Bless
