The Jesuits in particular intend to destroy any opposition; they take an oath which states, “I will . . . wage relentless war . . . against all heretics, Protestants, and Liberals. . . . I will hang, waste, boil, flay, strangle, and bury alive these infamous heretics; rip up the stomachs and wombs of their women, and crush their infants’ heads against the wall, in order to annihilate forever their execrable race.”
This oath is nearly identical to the “Knights of Columbus oath” that was declared a fake in 1913 by a special committee of Congress. Despite the governmental condemnation, the spurious Knights oath has been used by anti-Catholics throughout this century. (Maybe they don’t read the Congressional Record.) The Protestant has resurrected it, changing only its attribution (now it’s taken by the Jesuits) and its focus (from “Protestants and Masons” to “Protestants and Liberals”).
In other words, it’s a fake.
In a sense, the problem is exactly the opposite. The Jesuits
used to be the strong right arm of the Church. According to
Goodbye, Good Men and other sources, the Jesuit semanaries are now some of the worst homosexual “clubs,” with some of the most blatant homosexual activities occurring in them.
**That, it seems, is the general pattern in American seminaries, the exceptions being few and far between. The good news is that they are still better than religious houses, where it is easier to form exclusively gay cliques. The Jesuits are especially notorious. John Bollard, a Jesuit from 1988 to 1996 has said that at least 12 priests made sexual advances to him in that time. In sexual harassment suit which he filed against certain Jesuits of the California province he stated that he had been subjected to “unwanted verbal and physical conduct of a sexual nature” from three of his supervisors, creating such a “hostile, intimidating, and offensive environment” that he could no longer remain in the order. One of these superiors later became acting secretary of formation for the Jesuits worldwide. **

Before concluding that this is radical anti-homosexual prejudice – it isn’t – research the matter. Begin by reading
Goodbye, Good Men. The former Chancellor of our Diocese, who now works for the Vatican, says the book and other reports about American Catholic seminaries are essentially true.
I went to a Jesuit college. I
loved the Jesuits. I
still love the Jesuits. I would have been
proud to have all three of my sons become Jesuit priests.
But what they read read in the headlines and heard whispered among friends and saw on TV has made it almost impossible for them to enter the seminary. They would want to enter a
holy Church with
holy seminaries. They don’t want to fight off homosexual advances by the Dean of Students.
One of our family’s friends went into the seminary. In a Mass on the first day there he watched the young men in front of him playfully putting their hands into one another’s pants. The priest in charge of the group stood about 7 or 8 pews away, clearly ignoring the activity. As this went on, our friend finally complained to the priest. The priest responded by asking if our friend was sure that he was in the right place!!!
Nah. The rumors being spread by the person from the SDAs are
nowhere close to the actual sad reality within the Jesuits and other orders.
