We know who did it. We know what ancestral species like pigs and dogs look like, and we can even reproduce some of the breeding changes. We have no such knowledge of previous interventions.

To accept the results of the scientific method, one does not need to be atheist. Catholicism and science are not mutually exclusive.

I think it’s important to note that intelligent design is not present in mainstream Catholic theology.

Do you have any evidence that supports these claims?

The Big Bang theory was literally formulated by a Catholic preist and the church accepts it as fact.

Yes they are, as posts here prove. Some people want to build a twenty foot thick wall between science and theology. They are free to do that. The Church can combine both science and Divine Revelation, which contains the critical missing information. Science is partly blind.

If you want to see an infinite discussion loop here, stick around.

My point exactly. The Church does not endorse or promote intelligent design.

The Big Bang theory is as well established theory as any other out there.

Are we gonna be denying that gravity exists next too?

You have yet to address my questions about how exactly you merge the two together.

Then I guess I guess it a good thing that the results of science aren’t subject to people’s ideologies and opinions.

Science deals with things the way they are regardless of what anyone does or does not believe.

That’s not accurate. From Communion and Stewardship:

“A growing body of scientific critics of neo-Darwinism point to evidence of design (e.g., biological structures that exhibit specified complexity) that, in their view, cannot be explained in terms of a purely contingent process and that neo-Darwinians have ignored or misinterpreted. The nub of this currently lively disagreement involves scientific observation and generalization concerning whether the available data support inferences of design or chance, and cannot be settled by theology.”

What’s communion and stewardship and why should I blindly accept what they say?

Intelligent design is pseudoscience, nothing more.

I understand the strict limits of science, but the Church has no such limitation. I am promoting what the Church is actually saying as opposed to what some people want to hear.

Ah yes, the ol’ “any day now Darwinism will fall.” The first two or three generations of people making that claim are dead and buried.

+20 to dodge. You are free to ignore it if you want. I hope that others reading will not.

You’re promoting an anti science agenda and trying to use the Church as your justification

Everyone is bound by the laws of physics (which were created by God) whether you like it or not. I dare you to go faster than the speed of light.

Rejecting science is rejecting God’s creation. Your political ideology does not overrule reality.

Oh nooooos! Am I doing that? Definitely not. Now you are moving from bias to something worse.

What’s wrong with bias? People can’t even think according to their own conscious anymore without offending someone. You can’t even accept science anymore without offending some Internet conspiracy theorist.
