Well really, that was a promise that couldn’t be kept–one of those incentives that organizations sometimes offer that everyone with any sense knows can’t be kept indefinitely. If there’s any fault, it’s with the Schuller ministry for making such an offer/promise at all. No matter who the new owners were going to be they were not obligated to keep such an unkeepable promise. Nor was it a condition of the sale. I think returning the stones to those who paid for them gratis or storing them is enough for the diocese to offer.I stand corrected.
But nevertheless there were some unhappy campers.
I certainly hope no one gets fooled again by that “it will be there forever” stuff.
