I’m non-Catholic, but I still like the shows ewtn has. I realized that Catholics have more in common with me than I previously thought.

EWTN is great.

I greatly admire the Catholic discipline. I don’t always agree with the doctrine, but I enjoy the perspective. EWTN is great.

If you’re going satellite, go DirectTV (EWTN is chan 422).

Dish Network’s current commercial is extremely offensive.

Cool!

On a sadder note, I hear that Comcast will be picking up a homosexual network soon. The’re tossing out God and replacing him with that filth???
Such compassion

If all else fails, you can always buy a shortwave radio, and listen to EWTN with good reception most of the time. We have Dish tv with EWTN and we love it. Stay away from channel 9415, (the free speech channel). They will have a gay oriented program on occasionaly.

I think I’ll just watch web casts. I really miss watching Father Corapi. I think he’s great! 😃 He inspires me to be a better Christian.

I agree with you. Fr. Corapi is one of the best speakers I’ve ever heard.

I have a few pictures of him on my wall next to some other religious things. Ever hear of Ray Comfort?

I’ve always wondered what a homosexual channel would be like. Everytime I try to come up with what shows it would have I always would be like “no they woudn’t do that. Maybe…”.

It would be just like all the other secular networks, but the people would be wearing efeminate clothing and lisping.

So the whole thing was a trick question, so obvious I couldn’t of possibly have gotten it.

I’ve always wondered what gives homosexuals that lisp, Is it inherited through genes? Is it just obtained through copying? There’s a kid who is gay who sits next to me in my Comp. Apps. class. Coolest. Kid. Ever. I think I can safely say Him > Everybody.

That was a bad joke. I guess I was eluding to the fact that secular tv sin would be no different than homosexual tv sin in the way that it is sinful.

Which was the bad joke? I believe in everything I said except for maybe the coolest kid ever part, that was more to imply I like him a lot better then a lot of other people I know, and also to imply I don’t have predujice views about him being homosexual.

You really think so? Despite it being a joke, it’s probably pretty accurate. I doubt they would do anything extreme, I belive I read somewhere it would consist mainly of soap-opera type shows, along with reality tv shows.

Remember the story of Sodom and it’s sister city? The people not only engaged in depraved behavior, but they pushed thier beds out into the streets and put it on display. TV is our modern equilivent. We put our depravity on tv like they put thiers out into the streets.

No I’ve never heard that story. But what you are saying is that this is bad because they’re now showing this horrible thing in public display? But is this right here not a matter of opinion? We’re offended by it, but what if someone is offended of Catholics pressing their views unto tv, whats the difference then?
