I don’t like the guy’s style (way too harsh). What purpose does his approach serve in the grand scheme of things? I wonder who decided he could make a contribution to national evangelization. I DON’T GET IT! *** Whenever I see him on TV, I bolt across the room to change channels or hit the mute button. The guy really gets under my skin. ***😦

You’d be the first person I hear this from. At least, the first Catholic. You are Catholic, right?

Well, we’re all different. I find him refreshing, informative, and a welcome ‘voice’ for Catholicism. Which doesn’t make me right and you wrong–nor you right and me wrong. 😃

If Fr. Corapi is not for you, don’t watch. But lots of us do enjoy him.

I think you’re in the minority. You’re the first person I have ever come across who dislikes him. His style is straightforward, frank, and truthful. He tells the truth without watering down or tiptoeing around the unpopular parts. If that style bothers you, you’d propbably be annoyed by 99% of the Saints who have walked this earth and who each lead more souls to salvation than you or I ever will.

Don’t be so sensitive. Esto vir. 🙂

He’s rather funny too, sometimes. That’s always a plus. He’s totally present when he speaks. He doesn’t hold back truth, wit, humor, or charity. Gotta love his voice!

I can see why you like him. You sound exactly like him. Your statement is rude and chuck-full of nonsensical assumptions. YOU did not know '99% of the Saints", unless of course, you’re almost 2,000 years old (you do sound sufficiently cranky. I’ll give you that). AND, you don’t know anything about me, so speak for yourself, thank you. As far as ‘esto vir’, goes – it takes MORE manliness to understand people and try to effectively reach them than barking orders and acting like a drill sergeant. That’s fake bravado, and usually folds when directly confronted in kind.🙂

I LOVE Fr. Corapi and the way he speaks the truth. Too long have we been given watered down sermons any college kid could deliver for a grade. Fr. Corapi has great love for all souls and only wants to let them see where they are headed if they don’t repent and change their ways. We need priest who can remind us there is such a thing as sin and hell. He also lets us know about Gods love for us and the way to Heaven. For all those who love to listen to Fr. Corapi, you may also want to listen to Fr. Don Calloway…his story is amazing!!

Well I have personally met and spoken with Father Corapi and believe me, he is the real deal! So kind and holy and sincere. You can sense the spirit of God in him.

He minces no words (so refreshing!) and having the “gift of apostolic preaching” he preaches the TRUTH.

Me thinks perhaps Father Corapi “pricks the spirit” of someone…😉

To be honest (not that I’ve lied to any of you…yet), I get so angry listening to him, I can imagine myself hitting him. It’s an unpleasant thought, granted, but the guy is extremely offensive to me. But, I can also imagine Sister Angelica very carefully and deliberately selecting him for her show. She too, at times, was a bit cranky and ‘in-one’s-face’ with her righteousness. No offense intended toward anyone. I simply believe Catholicism benefits more from taking on the face of kindness than one that barks orders and hollers judgment in people’s faces. Corapi had better have his personal act together to be able to live what he preaches. Something about ‘don’t throw rocks if you live in a glass house’ comes to mind whenever I hear or see him barking at the world. 👍

It is a very harsh world and the Church is in a very harsh mess…the solution to the problems of the Chrcuh (and by extension the world) will be wrought by the Holy Spirit through Priests and men like Father Corapi.

Jesus onces spoke at great length about how anyone who wishes to receive life “must” eat His Body and drink His Blood…Jesus was speaking harshly, stating that anyone who does not partake has no life in them. Jesus did not hold back and many people left Him because they thought His teachings were too harsh; however, Jesus did not amend His style or His Words and call them back,; rather, He let them leave (read John 6 if you do not know the account).

Father Corapi speaks the truth and sometimes it is harsh because the truth can often come to us as being harsh. You will not here Father Corapi speaking falsely–he attempts to speak the truth because of his great love for Christ and for souls.

Oh yes, yes, yes!! I just listened to my new DVD of Father Calloway’s conversion story! It is absolutely fabulous and so inspiring! I cannot wait for my whole family to watch it! And our parish. Truly an amazing example of God’s faithfulness, love, mercy and miracles! 👍

You might want to read-up on Father Corapi’s story, he has walked through the valley of death and was saved from certain death by Christ and Our Lady’s interventions. He would be the first person to admit he been a sinner of great depth.

I have heard that Father Corapi has body guards, so someone doesn’t appreciate him. I think he reaches the ones that God wants him to reach, or the only one that could reach that person/s. His style is definately harsher than I react to, but I love him anyway.

‘Me thinks’ that if Father Corapi is ‘kind’ in person, he should show that side of himself on TV, instead of acting like a drill sergeant. You DO realize he WAS an Army NCO, right? Perhaps he’s hamming it up a bit for publicity’s sake. Could that be interpretted as falsehood? I wonder.👍

One needs to refect a bit–imo–when they start speaking of wanting to hit anyone, especially a Priest.

I say this in love to you - but it is very telling that you actually become “angry” and can imagine yourself actually become physically violent toward Father Corapi when you hear him speak. There is something underlying here. Something that I sense has more to do with YOU than with Father Corapi. Something spiritual.

Just my 2 cents.

I didn’t say I ‘wanted’ to hit him. I said I could ‘imagine’ myself doing so, and that it was an unpleasant thought. No, I would NEVER hit a priest. That’s not what I meant. It’s just that I could imagine myself getting very angry if someone stood in my face, barking what he hollers at the world on TV. I am not a violent person. 👍

Perhaps you should speak to him in person, let him know how much harm he is doing, you know…

Thank you for clarifying.

I would bring this to prayer if I were you, your hostility if off the scale towards a Priest that is merely trying to speak the truth. No-one forces you to listen to him, yet if I were you I would be wondering why I react so “harshly” towards him.

We’ve had enough of the “goody gum drop Jesus” preaching. Enough watered down, let’s have everybody FEEL good and not take this faith thing too serioulsy theology.
These preachers refused to really take the faith of Christ seriously.
Father Corapi DOES. It is SERIOUS business - salvation.
Keep in mind my friend that Christ our Lord himself became ANGRY. Flipped over the money-changing tables in the temple and yelled at them! Imagine!

Father Corapi’s personality was not only created by God - but specifically CHOSEN by God to be the one to preach the TRUTH and His Gospel.
Do not minimize and dismiss that fact. God has his purpose and reasons for it.
