Fascinating, indeed.
It is interesting to see the theory of the proclamation last year, becoming a concrete reality this year. With many others, I will be observing it with great wonder, particularly as it becomes a concrete reality in North America.

It all seems very quick they only converted on the 1st and on the 15th they will be ordained. I’m glad the ordinariate is getting off the ground but this truly is breakneck speed

I’m certainly no expert on things Anglican, but I would surmise that these bishops have been thoroughly catholic for quite some time. If they are part of the Traditional Anglican Communion, they may have been signatories of the initial petition to return to Rome several years ago, having already accepted the teachings of the Roman Catholic Catechism.
It sounds awful quick to me, too… but if they are part of the discussions, petitions, agreements and so forth over the last few years, I’d bet the speed is appropriate.

Could someone please help with clarity on the positions of the two retired former Bishops?
