Gun confiscation has not happened in democracy.
As I recall, gun confiscation happened after hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
Not really. There was a call for people to give up their guns for the police to have more firepower. They were not allowed in some public areas. Also, one person did try confiscation by fiat. It resulted in a massive payout because he crossed the line of his legal authority.

You didn’t even read and count up the entire list, did you?

Shame, shame…

Shame? Because I did not read it? It seems pretty clear that this decade takes the taco on this.

Which one killed thirty-five people? Making killers less deadly is kind of the point.
Point Arthur was an outlier for Australia. If you look at the number of victims in mass murders before and after Port Arthur, you see that arson attacks post Port Arthur have actually been more deadly than the shooting attacks prior. Of course, you also ignore the government sponsored massacres of Australian Aboriginals in which hundreds were killed.
Funny - most of those Aboriginals were killed not by soldiers but civilian settlers - and with guns. Just saying…

What useful purpose would a gun registry that is only 20% accurate serve? New York instituted a registry for assault weapons a couple years ago. They had about 5% compliance. How useful is that registry?
It created a large number of criminals out of people who were law abiding citizens by all other accounts.

Getting back to the OP. The only thing Mayim Bialik is an expert at, is how to be a good little liberal!!!

If the government can take people’s houses and leave them homeless, it can take anything. I know, they did it to me. I lived that reality.

The government exists to steal from the people, period.

I’m actually getting tired of HS kids being asked what gun policy should be as if they are experts. On this matter, ideally an expert would listen to both sides of an issue, study history, stats, etc., before coming to a conclusion. I suspect some in the liberal media are just trying to exploit the circumstance to make a sort of emotional case for a gun ban.

Maybe that’s the intent. Much easier to deal with your political opponents if you can have them locked up.

I like to watch how the gun sales go crazy every time something like this happens. The more the 2nd amendment gets threatened, the more people go out and buy guns. Thing is though, many states still require no receipt of sale or registration (like the state I live in) , so they can’t take what they don’t know you have! Now is the time to buy. 😉

States can’t legitimately enforce gun control laws. :wink. :wink

But, the private security clowns running the security at the REIT owned shopping centers that are leased by the big box retailers think they have rights that they do not have.

Hopefully, you’re not saying we should apply a standard of 400 years ago that wasn’t just to today.
