Do you believe these new Revelations come from the God of the Bible ?
Why would God set up competing religions ?It is a good question, but I think History has proven that it is not a question that is answered as easy as it is asked.
Observation would show that a person’s frame of reference is an important factor as is nature and nurture.
Passages such as these become applicable;
Revelation 2:17 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.
Revelation 3:20’Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21’He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22’He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’"

Baha’is believe that the spiritual truths of the great world religions are the same… It is the laws and ordinances that change from time to time to address the needs of His people. Why would God set up competing religions ?
Arthra has replied to this and I would add that it is man that competes and not God.Why would God set up competing religions ?
The only way to get these new revelations to mesh with the ones from the Bible is reinterpret and twist their meaning in a way to make them sound like they came from the same God.So the “God of the Bible” is also the God of the later revelations.
So you are saying man never had the capacity to understand God back in the times of Jesus, so he sent Baha’u’llah to do that in the modern age ?God gives the messages to our capacity, in the age that it is suited.

The simple answer would be to teach us tolerance of other faiths and to love our brothers and sisters of other faiths. Why would God set up competing religions ?
For instance, in ancient times a world government was not a realistic possibility. Now, with the United Nations, we are half-way there. And, with the development of truly insane weapons that are fully capable of causing the extinction of the human race, that bona-fide world government has become an absolute necessity. So you are saying man never had the capacity to understand God back in the times of Jesus, so he sent Baha’u’llah to do that in the modern age ?
Jesus has already taught us this in the bible.the simple answer would be to teach us tolerance of other faiths and to love our brothers and sisters of other faiths.
Indeed he did. But the question is, Have we learned it?Jesus has already taught us this in the bible.
No, the new revelations says we don’t have LOVE our Neighbors, we only have prefer them to ourselves. The simple answer would be to teach us tolerance of other faiths and to love our brothers and sisters of other faiths.
It is instructive to note that the Samaritan sect of ancient times competed with Judaism and was considered a heresy by the same. But our Teacher chose a member of this so-called heresy to answer the question of “who, then, is my neighbor,” and to demonstrate how to follow our Creator’s primary law: Love Your Neighbor As Yourself.
Did Jesus show Love to the money changers ?****Indeed he did. But the question is, Have we learned it?
The Love and Tolerance has been shown to be a Oneness of Religion, a perfect orchestra of harmony under God… It was known that people of the time could not bear that extent of disclosure, but now the capacity is there to know this.Jesus has already taught us this in the bible.
Definitely yes. A Baha’i would see this as condemnation of the actions of People, but does not subtract from the Love Christ would have for all of them.
Did Jesus show Love to the money changers ?****
This is not correct. One writng may put it this way but here are a few moreNo, the new revelations says we don’t have LOVE our Neighbors, we only have prefer them to ourselves.
With all due respect, Techno, that kind of nit-picking is just silly. No, the new revelations says we don’t have LOVE our Neighbors, we only have prefer them to ourselves.
what’s that got to do with your original question of why did God allow different religions?
Did Jesus show Love to the money changers ?****

But this has the built-in false pre-supposition that you cannot affirm the fullness of the truth, AND love your brothers and sisters of other faiths while affirming this FULLNESS of the Truth.
Your answer is also “intolerant” of the ONE fullness of Truth.
Your reply did not seem persuasive to me.
God bless.
