No He never taught such things. Nor statue worship nor reincarnation. His followers do believe in these things that’s why He spoke of a counterfeit Buddhism arising and that a new Buddha would come and teach the truth again.

"
And the Blessed One replied: “I am not the first Buddha who came upon earth, nor shall I be the last. In due time another Buddha will arise in the world, a Holy One, a supremely enlightened One, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious, knowing the universe, an incomparable leader of men, a master of angels and mortals. He will reveal to you the same eternal truths which I have taught you. He will preach his religion, glorious in its origin, glorious at the climax, and glorious at the goal, in the spirit and in the letter. He will proclaim a religious life, wholly perfect and pure; such as I now proclaim.”
So this must be like a Buddhist Messiah that’s coming ?

Exactly. Christians aren’t the only ones awaiting a messiah!

Notice something familiar here?? (Glory of God)

"“Amitābha, the unbounded light, is the source of wisdom, of virtue, of Buddhahood. The deeds of sorcerers and miracle-mongers are frauds, but what is more wondrous, more mysterious, more miraculous than Amitābha?”

Abha is a derivative of the name Baha!!!

In exploring Baha’i Faith we might mention that there is a Baha’i calendar Baha’is use… and next week starting this year on February 26th begins a period of four days called “Ayyam-i-Ha” or Days of Ha (The letter Ha signifies 5) otherwise called Intercalary Days. During these four days this year (and five days in a leap year) Baha’is have parties… gift exchange and acts of charity are encouraged.

Ayyam-i-Ha precedes a nineteen day Fast in which we refrain from liquid and solid food from sunrise to sunset.

No. Only many of His original teachings have been lost. The further back humanity goes the less accurate records it has. Buddha taught about God but that has been lost.
So I see now that whenever the Baha’is run into trouble they can always say something got lost, misinterpreted or misunderstood .

No. Those are the facts. There is some proof Buddha taught there was a God only we haven’t got an exact reference with the name God but we have this which is as clear,

"There is, O monks, an unborn, unoriginated, uncreated, unformed. Were there not, O monks, this unborn, unoriginated, uncreated, unformed, there would be no escape from the world of the born, originated, created, formed. “Since, O monks, there is an unborn, unoriginated, uncreated, and unformed, therefore is there an escape from the born, originated, created, formed.”

Only God is unborn and uncreated.

So this “Buddha Manifestation God” couldn’t be bother to try and teach people about God, we have to keep guessing if there is a God or not.

Buddha taught the Middle Way not extremism in any form.

You didn’t answer the question. Asceticism has similarities in various traditions, usually a renouncement of the world takes place, living isolated in a community takes place and one abstains from pleasures like sex and fine eating. Buddha addresses Monks most often it seems in his discourses and the traditions which survive. That would be one of Buddha’s most enduring legacies even you believe Buddhism as a whole has perverted the truth of the Buddha, surely that aspect must have been original to the Buddha?

So the question remains. Was the Buddha’s asceticism good?

I see you didn’t read the link I gave you which is from a Buddhist source, not Baha’i.

Really, it gets tiresome, all this deception and ugly language

Do you talk like this to your parents?

You only have to keep guessing because you always want to learn what was taught in kindergarten.

Come up. You can do it 🙂

I actually know many Buddhists who are my son’s friends at school. They all believe in God, every one of them, including their Buddhist parents…

So you approve of Buddha’s asceticism?
The Buddha’s ascetism was a wonderful way, at the time, to remove oneself from the plaque of a polytheistic society, worshipping and attaching their hearts to objects of adoration.

Through the ascetic process, the Buddha showed a way to be detached from all worldly objects and attach oneself to the inner human spirit, where the rational soul exists and thereby experience the process of being “born again” in God, who exists in each and every human heart/soul.

In the teachings applicable to today, the sacrifices of ascetism are attained by giving our entire lives to the service of humanity through the power invested in us by the Holy Spirit.
We acquire this power through a renunciation of our selves to God through prayer, meditation and fasting.

This is the ascetic life for this Age, the Day of God…

What do you mean, at the time? You believe Buddha to be a manifestation of God, the very reflection of who God is on earth and he left a way of being, namely an ascetic way of being for his followers to embrace. How is it then possible that such a method, as you describe it, of being detached from worldly things was (as you seem to imply) only suitable for the time?

Since you accept his asceticism as something fundamentally good, is it not a valid option for today’s Buddhists or even today’s Bahai?

Genesis 2:16-17
Then Yahweh God gave the man this command, ‘You are free to eat of all the trees in the garden.
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you are not to eat; for, the day you eat of that, you are doomed to die.’

So why would Adam/God brake his own law…and expel himself from the Garden of Eden…and Why would God let himself die?

So it seems the Baha’i faith has rewritten Gods word
