Agreed on the anti-government thing, look at the OKC bombing (I cann’t even remember his name) and Randy Weaver and the ATF agents from the early 90’s.I would lean towards it being one of the first two (or a combination thereof) rather than a disgrunteled taxpayer. Traditionally the anti-government types have focused on government buildings, not crowds of people unconnected with a government event or entity. I think the most likely reason that this was done on tax day was just because the marathon happened to fall on it and it was an easy target.
Perhaps the Boston marathon was a back-up plan since Hurricane Sandy canceled the NYC marathon?
I saw that mentioned yesterday in a NY Times or Post article
