In what could be the most ironic name ever, Antifa is supposed to mean “anti-fascist”.
Why is that ironic?

Cops are the main instigators, and are responsible for far worse violence, both during and outside of these protests.

Because their tactics and violence, Their desire to silence free speech, even their mode of dress, is fascistic.

Sure. I remember watching the video at Berkeley where Antifa was peacefully demonstrating and the police came charging in, setting fires, breaking glass, etc.

Drips with sarcasm.

Re: Breitbart.

The protesters allegedly belonged to this group:

Which has posted the following statement on its facebook page:
APD continues to spread lies about us, claiming we were out today providing shields to protestors. We have not been protesting today. We have seen many people wearing shirts that honor Mike. It’s the heartless pigs that can’t comprehend widespread support for a victim of police brutality.
APD seized these shields and trashed them, and blamed “antifa,” once again buying into Trump’s anti-protest, anti-free speech propaganda in attempts to silence the people.
The group is targeting Target specifically because they claim Target has given significant financial support to the Austin Police Department

Austin, for decades, has had a leftist progressive municipal government.

If, in fact, APD has treated Austin citizens brutally, it is just another example of how Democrat politicians have treated American blacks for decades.

I suspect that Target, like any sane business, dislikes shoplifting and vandalism and naturally relies on the protection of APD. These commies certainly justified Target’s decision.

These people must be stopped.
Protestors block police from entire area. Worst crime critics can find in the area is “asking for donations” so critics call them a mob then talk about looting in a completely different state.

imagine that, a right wing blogger living in his mom’s basement with a hit piece against “antifa terrorists”.

Did he speak out when righties illegally occupied federal land a couple years back and trashed it as well? probably not.

Are you talking about the Bundy family?

If so, are you really comparing the Bundy family’s standoff with the Federal government over land rights to Antifa and their black shirt style violence?

Read this one to the end

PORTLAND, OR—Local activist and Antifa member Declyn Cruikshank marked the 76th anniversary of the D-Day invasion by educating a D-Day veteran on how to fight against fascism.

Elmer Dobbins, 94, who lied about his age at 17 in order to join the Army, was sitting near a World War II memorial Saturday, reminiscing about the day he stormed the beaches at Normandy and lost dozens of friends. According to sources, Cruikshank approached and launched into a diatribe about the evil fascist American capitalist system.

Dobbins, who risked his life in 1944 to stop the spread of a totalitarian regime bent on destroying freedom and democracy, listened intently as Cruikshank instructed him on the finer points of fighting the fascist rule of free enterprise. He explained his goal of liberating Americans from the tyranny of democratic elections and private property ownership.

When Captain Dobbins asked how he hoped to triumph in such a great crusade, Declyn replied that he and his friends dress up in uniforms, march into a city to destroy shops and businesses, and intimidate others into shutting up and accepting their superior point of view.

“You’d better get on home, old man,” the anti-fascist warrior said, holding a brick. “It’s going to be a Night of Broken Glass, or as we like to say, a Kristallnacht. Down with Fascism!”

Absolutely. They were right wing terrorists and deserved to be treated as such.

This is ridiculous to the absurd. They were ranchers grazing their cattle. They were protecting their right to do so. No one was terrorized by them, and they certainly didn’t destroy the property of others or silence speech on college campuses.
