Dear Friends,
I have been advised through the Capuchin Fathers of the Province of Sant’ Angelo and San Pio in Italy that the Public Veneration of the Relics of Saint Padre Pio in Italy has been extended until September of 2009.
The relic body of Saint Pio, the world renowned stigmatist Saint who died in September of 1968, was exhumed from its crypt in March of this year. The Vatican Congregation for the Causes of Saints, the Archdiocese of Manfredonia in Italy and the Capuchin Fathers have cooperated extensively on both the exhumation and the subsequent presentation of this relic for the veneration of the faithful.
A visit by His Holiness Benedict XVI to the Church of the Madonna della Grazie in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, where the sacred relics are being venerated is widely expected.
The National Center for Padre Pio has graciously arranged public events at their chapel and spirituality center in Barto, Pennsylvania for Padre Pio devotees and spiritual children in the United States. Also, they have arranged for tours to Italy to participate in the extraordinary events there. They can be contacted through their website:

Yours sincerely,
