Here’s a video of a very anti-Catholic radio host, Matt Slick. In the video, he rejects both what Acts 2:37-38 says. Notice his arrogant cocky behavior and the fact that he kept interrupting and muting the Catholics. I’m interested in your responses. Please leave a comment. Begin the video at 2:27:00

He certainly has a hefty degree of ego at work. So much for gentleness and reverence! The point is well made about the need for control.

I am wondering why you are wanting to showcase Matt Slick here? I am not sure boasting about him getting “demolished” is any more helpful to unity. He has a long history of anti-Catholic hostility, and it is best not to feed into it.

Pray for Matt Slick.

JMHO, we can be joyous that the fullness of truth found in the Catholic Church will always be shown to be present, and I totally and completely relate to the satisfaction/joy/peace found in a good refutation of error, particularly anti-Catholic error, but I agree that for the sake of unity and peace, it’s probably best to have it be a quiet and personal satisfaction. This would also help us avoid the temptation of pride.

He looks bored and flying high on his ego-charisma-for-those-who-buy-it. Does not matter what he says on faith while he is chewing and rolling his eyes when he speaks of it. Do you think he cares? He doesn’t look like it and he put himself on the internet and yes I think we are justified by faith **and ** the work of having to watch him (😜) in asserting that he does not care one bit as long as people are attracted/annoyed enough to make him an AUDience.

I’m not sure arguing with some blowhard broadcasting from his basement is a good use of your time.

Exactly…I have never heard him before but I listened to the end. In my opinion he and all his callers are equally schmucks.

St. Paul did lots of arguing in public. It’s documented in Acts.

As far as the callers to the show, I’d say they were defending the faith.

As far as Matt Slick, I’d say he is running a monopoly on his own version of “truth”. He blames the callers of evasiveness; yet he is sitting on the mute button b/c he apparently, according to my belief, does not want to hear the “Truth”.

Slick is not a bad name for this fella. God bless him.

Slick does more net harm than good with his absurd apologetics. He is a faith of one. I doubt he can find another human that believes everything the same as he does.

Slick Matt has overruled the Lord and states on his site that baptism is no longer necessary.

CARM.

Rhymes with HARM.

Protestant Forum I Checked Out Non-Catholic Religions
I took a look at the CARM forums and these people are soooooooooo hostile toward Catholics. I knew anti-Catholicism existed but these people are just so rude. The argument that seems to come up the most is they keep insisting Catholicism is man made. Despite attending a Catholic school for 8 years with a “Religion” class but not Catechism class, most of what I’ve learned about our Faith has come from online, including CAF. So…my question. How do we know that our Faith is the first Christian Ch…

Slick’s contextual analysis of the Ark as the savior of Noah and not the water could be incomplete.

The water and the ark could be viewed as having saved Noah; not just the ark. If it weren’t for the water, there would have been no “saving Noah” and no need for an ark.

Very good comments so far. I’d urge all of you to also check out the Matt Slick vs Robert Sungenis debates. They’re on youtube. The Catholic apologist Sungenis completely destroys Slick in those debates!

Slick says he is dealing with an arrogant person and that he doesn’t like arrogant people. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. He likes muting people. I’ve just muted him forever.

That’s right. Even if that Catholic that went by the name ‘Anonymous Guy’ seemed aggressive , I’d say he had good reason after having been muted and cut off so many times by the Slickster.

Personally, I think Matt Slick knows in his heart that the Catholics are right about Acts 2:38, which is why he was acting the way he was. He 's a protestant fighting against himself.
