Fake Exorcisms

How awful.

I recently heard the term Exorcist Syndrome, and a story about a young boy who is being treated for it.
I wondered then, if the church carries out or has a medical test done on people believed to be possessed to eliminate this syndrome before an exorcism.

I know these two men were not official exorcism priests, and very much abused their positions of being priests to carry out these acts…

I am pretty sure it is standard in the US. It is also common at many times to have a doctor present during the rite.
