It’s not snitching, it’s enforcing professionalism in the workplace. For adults who haven’t developed sufficient professional judgment, official structures can step in to ensure better behaviour.

I think most managers would look to separate the two individuals involved, regardless of the label you want to attach to it.

And if there is no way to separate the two- due to the nature of the operation- whichever is the least valuable to the outfit is most likely to be shown the door.

I do know, I worked for many years, if I had the opportunity to work next to someone who had a record of enforcing professionalism, I’d do my best to tiptoe around them.
