Familiaris Consortio Chapter 87

I invite all here to read St. John Paul (II) the Great’s apostolic exhortation paragraph 87. It is short and I will post the link below.

I have but two questions, according to Paragraph 87 of Familiaris Consortio and the encyclical Veritatis Splendor:

1. Can paragraph 87 of FC and footnote 351 of Amoris Laetitia be reconciled?
2. How can Paragraph 9 of Veritatis Splendor be reconciled with AL footnote 351…is it even possible without a clear doctrinal change.

Keep in mind VS was an encyclical and the Paragraph in FC was not a footnote.
