Unfortunately, the western media and governments continue to turn a blind eye to real threat of Muslim extremism and this is what will give rise to bigotry and possible persecution of Muslims in the future.

Those who supposedly “hate” Muslims are making the mistake of assuming that all Muslims are violent but, at the same time, the liberal media routinely makes the mistake of assuming that all Muslims are peaceful. By turning a blind eye to the violent elements that exist within the Islamic community, liberals are actually stoking the fires of hatred and bigotry on the other side of the political spectrum due to the perceived injustice that is being conveyed.

Muslims should be treated just like any other racial group and if that means Islamic terrorism incurs a disproportionate amount of media coverage, then so be it. Ironically, proclaiming Muslim extremists as being radical, violent criminals today will draw a contrast between peaceful and radical Muslims tomorrow. This could actually avoid a hate-filled, racial cleansing against peaceful Muslims abroad in a couple of decades.

You further cast dispersions on others saying they aim to increase violence. You have no backup for that.

The act of that Militant was a heinous act committed that the Nazis never did in England. Good for these marchers to protest. I hope if an American soldier were ever murdered in a heinous way like this, people would not be afraid to protest because of your name-calling.
 
Newcastle, far away from London and not the same way, is where many of these protestors hail from. And from where this protest evidently happened.

They are smart enough to know Open Borders leads to things like the murder of Lee Rigby.

Good for these protestors to remember their fellow man.

From the article: Newcastle, England (CNN) - Waving flags and chanting, far-right marchers rallied in northern England on Saturday, their numbers apparently swelled by anger over the slaying of a British soldier allegedly by attackers who claimed an Islamist motive.

Protesters on the march organized by the far-right English Defence League told CNN that Wednesday’s horror in southeast London’s Woolwich neighborhood had opened their eyes and called for Muslims to leave.

It seems that the march was organized by a group founded by a man who is somewhat flakey and who has been convicted of small-time violent acts, including assault on a police officer during the officer’s visit to his house on a domestic violence call.
So the group which orgamized the march is considered “far right” because they believe that allowing so many immigrants of a completely different culture into England is bad for England.

Note that the protest was swelled by people who are upset by the murder in broad daylight by extremist Moslems. They may not be “right-wing extremists,” but simply people who are upset about extremist Moslem activity in their own nation.

There are people who are against Muslim extremism but are not a part of a group with the history that the english defense league has.

There are non English defense league members who want limits on immigration are against Muslim extremism, but the English defense league deserves criticism.

A few individual protestors maybe and those charges are not always to be believed that are made against them, just like some people targetted the Tea Party and accused them of racism.

Please be careful with this. The EDL are very much a bunch of violent, ignorant thugs, who hate anyone that isn’t White and “British”. It would seem that they are not very different from the BNP. I saw one interview a while back with a person claimin to be EDL, who was spouting such horrible stuff about “them muslamics”. - I kid you not. THAT is the EDL, they will, if they can, use the current racial tensions in the UK as a platform to start a race war with the ultimate intentions of “sending them all back to their country”. (in this context “them” would mean; black people, Asian people, Jewish people, come to think of it ALL non pure Anglo-Saxons.)
It’s one thing for angry people to protest against extremist-jihadist-corruptions of Islam, it’s another thing altogether to defend or support the EDL.
I don’t think one can support or even defend such people on here with a catholic conscience. It would be AS BAD as defending g the jihadists who butchered that poor soldier.
(May God grant him eternal rest and comfort his family.)
Also from what I’ve seen on tv, and read In the news, our media are failing to distinguish between the SMALL minority of Muslims who support extremist ideas, and the VAST MAJORITY of British Muslims who hate terrorism as much as everyone else.

Why does it matter if someone hasn’t been arrested in the Tea Party? Why does it matter if the Tea Party protests have been peaceful? Are you denyinig that the Left accuse them of racism?? Are you denying that the Left likens them to toting guns? Are you denying the Left likes to call them Right-Wing Extremists?

Let’s not forget too, people are being arrested for racist tweets in England.

But these Imams influence their constituency and nothing happens to them.

Something is wrong with that system.

And I know, some of these people are Anti-Catholic, that’s no secret and wrong and has to do with the Troubles.

Some of this too, is remnants of the old Hooligan days. That is so.

We the people of Britain DO NOT want the EDL to defend our country as you put it. And the EDL disgrace the memory of a fallen soldier by using his death as an excuse to spread their nazi ideology. Please stop defending them.

Approximately 80 years ago the nazis came for the jews. Until it was too late, no-one stopped them.
NOW the neo-nazis thugs (EDL) are coming for (all) the Muslims.(regardless of extremist muslim or not) - So, Will anyone stand up for our Muslim brothers under God?

“Not Racist, Not Violent, No Longer Silent” is one of their mottos. The protest was in fact, planned ahead of time in Newcastle but they nonetheless, could accentuate the terrible act in London and protest it. There are blacks in the EDL. They may be hooligans but still have the right to protest peacefully.

It wasn’t the EDL who blew up people in the skies over Scotland, who bombed on 07/07 or beheaded this soldier from what I know.

And as for the anti-Catholic talk, would one deny that one would have heard that in the British army even?

And you just made me chuckle as I remembered an article the BNP published years ago, parading an asian guy around in a union jack flag to show how “they’re not REALLY racists”. (the bit that they kept out of the press is that he wasn’t welcome at any of their party meetings, he was just a dupe who they found useful for the occasional photo opportunity)

The beauty of being catholic is that it’s universal and embraces all. So we’re the exact opposite of the EDL, who only embrace anglo-saxons and cans of special brew. One or two “tolerated” black guys who are allowed to stay at their rallies to help with the press image does not make a nice racially inclusive ideology, but it makes them look better on the pages of the daily mail.

But you said “our Muslim brothers”, I repeat, I haven’t seen these people, the EDL, blow up planes over Lockerbie, bomb the tube or this latest incident or any number of other events that have happened.

They mainly protest Islamic terrorism. That is their main purpose. That in itself isn’t bad.
 
By “skies over Scotland” I assume your refering to the Locherbie bombing? If so, then you’ll also know already that that was nothing to do with any variety of Islam. - that my friend was Gadaffi carrying out a disgusting act of aggression as a part of his personal, crazy vendetta with the British and American governments. If I remember rightly it was some sort of tit-for-tat for the US bombing one of his palaces and killing one of his children? But An islamist he was not. In fact when the jihadist terrorism issue became recognised as a serious threat to the west, (in the aftermath of the terrible 9/11 ), he actually gave up his war with the US and “joined” our so-called “war on terror”.
As for the British Army, i agree it would seem that they are nearly as anti-catholic as its possible to be. Possibly nearly as anti-catholic as pike, wieshaupt et al.

Don’t get upset. I know parts of the UK, England. Now, where can we read about the EDL protesting against non-white people? Because one of the last times they were in the news, it was over another anti-terror protests and the journalists trying to turn a photo into saying this looks like a Sieg Heil. Not to derail the thread, I would like to read where they have had protests against non-white people. I’ll save you the trouble, those stories are probably not to be found. No big deal. I just wouldn’t exaggerate the wrong these people do.
