Why even post this news? This should be posted in the St. Jude forum, because this priest is in severe danger of losing his soul.

If this “Priest” sanctions any homosexual union with his blessing, or in any other way, he should be stripped of his faculties and excommunicated.

He is stating that he will not adhere to the teachings of his church, and will violate the specific directions of the Bishops, and of the Pope. That is grounds for having his faculties suspended, just for making such a public statement.

So…where does this leave us?

I think it’s great that this brave man is daring to be progressive. I am so tired of how the Catholic faith is stuck in the dark ages. In my area of the US, there aren’t any American men choosing (“receiving a calling”) the priesthood as a vocation. We have priests here from Vietnam and India who barely speak any English. Only a few in the congregation can understand what they’re saying. We have a convent of cloistered nuns here in town who were shipped in from Vietnam. The diocese brought these women in from Vietnam since there were no English speaking nuns anywhere in the world available. What is the Catholic faith becoming here in America? The leaders of the Catolic church in America are people from other countries who are so difficult to understand because of the language barrier! My mother doesn’t like going to the Mass anymore since she can’t understand the priest. We have been driving 30 minutes into the next town where the Irish priest speaks very clear English and the lovely gentlemen makes a effort to make the Mass enjoyable for everyone.
This is a sad commentary. You support someone who calls evil good? Do you understand what the prophets, apostles, Christ and the Church has taught and is still teaching?

I do not agree with your senseless accusation of the Church being “stuck in the Dark Ages.” The Church is true to Christ who is not stuck anywhere, but in truth and reason. Which appear to be lacking in the priest you support.

As far as having a priest who speaks poor English. I would rather have a priest who speaks poor or no English who is faithful to Christ and His Church than a progressive wolf is sheeps clothing looking to see who he could decieve into hellfire.

You lament the state of the Catholic faith inthe States. Lay that right at the feet of the progressives who have done much to try and destroy the faithful in the pew.

As for Mass being enjoyable, the Mass is Christ centered not man centered. I do not go to be entertained, but to worship. My ability to understand the priest does not figure in.

I am an Anglican and I know exactly how progressives of this sort can destroy a Church.

What is going on in Australia? Is there not Catholic Bishops Conference? Is there no Archbishop or Cardinal who can call these renegade priests to order? What is going on?

We have a former priest of over 45 years saying he doesnt believe in the divinity of Christ, the virgin birth or that Christ even existed. Please tell me why he has not been excommunicated? I think the Church should disassociate itself from - “Don’t Call Me” Father Peter Kennedy. Seeing his long list of tour dates amongst other things, I must believe that he was tired of keeping the vow of poverty and decided to make some money before he meets his Maker [who he no longer believes in]

As for Bishop Morris, I dont know why a high ranking church official would openly go against the teachings of the church, preach non - catholic teachings to his parish and then act surprised when the vatican does not approve of his actions.

I think the Pope should call the entire CBC in Australia to the Vatican for a meeting like was done with the Irish Church. I am quite disappointed that church officials can behave worse than atheists. It is quite sad.

I found a quote from a long-ago saint that may be some consolation to the state of affairs we are suffering from. There are reasons God is allowing these bishops and priests.

In other words, the people of God need to repent and return to saintly ways and HE will honor the scripture above.
Amen Brother

Almost certainly the battlefield between the Church and liberals in the near future will be the homosexual marriages.

Liberals too tend to believe that only the truth has rights, and they want to enforce their truth.

Only God is the truth and we all grasp only morsels of that. We should embrace the Dignitatis Humanae, and our rights for the revealed truth.

I think you need to go join the “Church of What’s Happening Now.” After all, if you no longer believe the Catholic Church teaches the truth, you have a moral obligation to seek the truth elsewhere.

BTW, I am so tired of how so-called “progressives” insist that they have all the answers and that the Church should practice the Gospel in reverse.

Since they do have all the answers, why don’t they answer one question: What do they want to “progress” toward?

👍 The truth is just that…THE TRUTH. Progressives want to change the truth of the Church into whatever it is that suits their fancy. After all, we are “behind the times” according to them. Remember? Vat ll was meant to “open the windows to let the fresh air in”…problem being the “air” isn’t quite so fresh. It’s more like “the smoke of Satan has entered the sanctuary”.😉

You have touched on something, here. Google “polylogism” and read up on it.

Being “behind the times” is like, “Times have changed.” What do they mean? How is the calendar a factor in determining morality?

I remember that metaphor well when it was first used. Fr. Corapi said it was “a foul stench.”👍

I am personally in favor of Father Bob doing everything he can to help homosexual couples.

By spending a lot of time encouraging them to live chastely.

In reference to “polylogism” and another quote by Fr. Corapi: “Yes, there is such a thing as objective truth.” Or the idea expressed by our Holy Father (Benedict) that “relativism” is destroying society. Polylogism seems to me to be similar to the term “relativism”. It’s all the same logic: It’s all in the perception of what is true.

Almost forgot, my favorite one by Fr. that puts relativism to rest is: “Grey is Satan’s favorite color”.👍

In reference to “polylogism” …
Here’s what I found:
Polylogism
Polylogism is the belief that different people or groups have different forms of logic. Since logic is the art of non-contradiction, polylogism can have only two possible meanings. Either reality is different for each group, or logic is a loose term for method of acquiring knowledge. The latter, though, is not how it is used. Those speaking of polylogism state that the conclusions from the different logics are different. This means that although they both claim to be methods of acquiring knowledge, the truth of the knowledge is different for different groups. This can mean only that reality is different for the different groups.
Polylogism is an absurd idea. It hides behind a more realistic idea, though. People can acquire knowledge in different ways. There are various methods one can use in approaching truth. Some of these methods are legitimate while others are not. **Polylogism pretends to encompass the legitimate methods by claiming different cultures are more prone to using particular methods. **
This is just camouflage. Polylogism is nothing but social subjectivism. It claims that knowledge is whatever you want it to be, but applies it to groups. Cultures, tribes, or races are the deciders of truth, and reality conforms to their views. What’s true for a Greek philosopher is not true for an Eastern philosopher. [Ever hear someone tell you, “What’s true for you is not necessarily true for me.” ?] This does not mean that the two believe different things. It means that the two are both right, even though they contradict one another. It is a denial of the Law of Identity.
Polylogism is not a philosophy or an epistemological theory. It is an attitude of narrow-minded fanatics, who cannot imagine that anybody could be more reasonable or more clever than they themselves. Nor is polylogism scientific. It is rather the replacement of reasoning and science by superstitions. It is the characteristic mentality of an age of chaos.

There is a Latin term, sensus fidei, (sense of faith) by which the Holy Spirit helps those faithful to Christ to adhere to Truth. This progressive and dissident mentality that declares we are living an antiquated faith denies the fact that everything has already been revealed by God and that the Deposit of Faith is eternal. (It may develop, but does not change.) It’s frightful to think that some would reject the very thing necessary for their salvation.

Again, where are the bishops.

It is the bishops fault for not discipling these priests.
Where are the laity? I am taking action against this silence by spreading the knowledge of increasingly progressive bishops who remain silent on these issues and situations. It is downright disgusting how this is being tolerated by a bishop of the Roman Catholic Church, and if the bishop will do nothing, it is our job to report it through the Church hierarchy.

It seems these days that there are very few Bishops who will stand in adamant defense of the Church. We must pray and act to ensure that this changes.

Many would rather change the Church than change themselves. Jesus calls us to change, not His Church.
