Hadn’t seen this posted anywhere on the forums. A NY Times story of Fr. Gerald Ryan, New York City’s oldest priest. Seems like decent treatment from the secular media.

The priesthood is graying: the average age of Roman Catholic priests in the United States rose to 63 in 2009 from 35 in 1970, according to a recent study by the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate at Georgetown University.

Gee, I wonder why, and how kind of the good Catholics at Georgetown University to point this out!

Maybe, I’m incorrect but the world’s oldest Priest was Fr.Nicholas Kao Se Tseien who passed away in 2007
