In August I posted a review in our RC Right To Life blog on Father Thomas Euteneuer’s powerful book Demonic Abortion. Yesterday someone posted a comment about praying for Father Euteneuer after his being recalled from Human Life International and relegated to parish duty in FL.

Goggle brought up couple of blog posts that reported that Father E had been recalled in August by Bishop Gerald Barbarito. Searching CAF brought up nothing (though my searches here never seem to retrieve much).

Demonic Abortion and Exorcism And The Church Militant, the companion book, have been pulled from the HLI store and apparently from publication all together (used on Amazon are going for steep prices).

Father Euteneuer is one our pro-life heroes - very personable, yet plain spoken and thoroughly faithful to the Magisterium. Exactly the kind of priest I would think the faithful need to hear from if the Bishops seriously expect to bring dissident Catholics back into conformity with Church teaching on abortion.

Father E has also been quite outspoken about pro-abortion Catholics in government (particularly Pelosi and Sebelius), homosexual marriage, Aids, and “new age” thinking. I thought we were all supposed to be doing that. I suspect that might be the real problem combined with the blunt, though thoroughly accurate, phrase Demonic Abortion.

I did find a rather pro-forma farewell Father Euteneuer posted on HLI which referred to obedience and perhaps he was due for a renewal anyway. He didn’t seem like a man who wanted to hang up his pro-life mission and hear confessions on Saturday.

Anyone know what exactly what happened?

Forgot to add for anyone interested, to learn more about the book here’s a link to the review on Demonic Abortion. The links in the post to the HLI store no longer work of course.

In short, despite the howling of feminists, Father Euteneuer in no way asserted that all women who abort their children, or even abortionists themselves, are demonically possessed or act as agents of the devil. Demonic Abortion focuses on the spiritual battle against the insidiously evil institution of abortion from current time all the way back into ancient cultures.

Highly recommended if you can find it at a reasonable price

Thanks Joe

I hope that’s all there is to it, but I have to wonder why the books were pulled simultaneously with Father E’s recall

I know many of you are not RealCatholicTV fans, but look at this episode of the vortix and the “third rail” of the Church:
youtube.com/watch?v=CwieXjC3RtE&feature=feedu

I remember seeing the good father once on Fox News and he got into a heated debate with Hanity. I can belieave the father about being sabbatical, but I don’t see why the books had to be pulled? Were the books causing scandal? As the vortex episode puts it, contracption is the third rail of the Church.

It is all very much a mystery, but the fact that Father Euteneuer is still an active priest tells me that he is not in trouble with anything he has personally done, at least not spiritually. It does seem most likely that he stepped on the wrong toes somewhere.

He is a good and holy priest, completely unafraid to stand up for the truth and tell it like it is. Remember, there have been other holy priests in history who were also silenced for one reason or another, including Padre Pio, who was basically put in solitary confinement and not allowed to give the sacraments. This could be a spiritual test for Fr. Euteneuer, and it would seem he is passing it with flying colors by his obedience.

. . .

Don’t underestimate the value of hearing confessions on Saturday. I was reminded of its importance one day when one of our priests cut confessions short in order to have time to fix some lighting before he said mass. There are many things done by priests that can be done by others, but only a priest can hear confessions, say mass, or anoint the sick.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if many abortionists and their staff saw the abortions as ritual sacrifice.

I’m pretty sure most of them view it as some sort of service. Having grown up in a very secular and left wing town, I got to know many pro-choice people, and that is a rather unheard of notion amongst them.

Serving Satan.
I doubt they would talk about it.

Very few people truly realize that they are serving Satan. It’s one of his more insidious tricks. If few believe in him, then more will be unable to his work in their actions. Rarely does he reveal his presence to humans, simply because it is easier to control humans through ignorance than through fear. I doubt many abortionists truly understand what is going on. With no understanding, there is little ritual sacrifice.

I’ll but that, and well said. And of course, I’m sure no clinics have black altars set up in them.

But many in this world willing serve Satan as well.

I am inclined to agree with you.

There is certainly no doubt that there are demons everywhere in abortion clinics, or may correctly, death mills. It may be true that some abortionists are consciously doing ritual sacrifices, but the vast majority are doing it for the money, easy money, but blood money that blackens their souls.

I never go near the abortion clinics without my rosary. There are most definitely demonic forces at work in those places.
