Fatima, the work of satan?

Will this do? It reports the exact words she said to the child seers. Look under ‘prayers’ and then under ‘Devotions’ for where she tells the children to specifically to pray daily the Rosary (which in itself already addresses her as Mother of Jesus and Mother of God)
Lily, Lily Lily…
it does not say that Mary in her vision said to say that prayer… unless I am missing something, please enlighten me.

That’s the third “secret” of Fatima. The whole thing comprises about a book (more like a diary), because the events all happened over a span of many days, and years.

Why is Fatima your favorite subject lately? It’s not even something Catholics have to believe in, as it is not a new revelation, as revelation has ceased. Catholics can choose to believe, or deny, ANY apparition or its message.
You do of course realize the rosary revival caused by the legend of fatima, don’t you? I know you guys are not required to believe this and alls I am doing is challenging all to seriously rethink it, comparing it to inerrant scripture.
The rosary is a slippery slope, that is probably meant for another thread. (I said the rosary not the mystery of the prayers) MFM haters save it for the rosary thread at a later date.

Mine has B16’s signature, you should at least have the imprimature nihil obistat don’t you think?
Firstly you don’t appear to have even read your own link. It makes it very clear that what you linked to was the THIRD PART of what JOHN PAUL II (NOT Benedict) wrote about the three SECRETS (not ALL the happenings - most of them were public!) of Fatima. Not a complete account of anything by anyone’s standards, and made abundantly clear that it’s not complete!

Secondly - of course there is official documentation. 24-something volumes of it, which is is not available for free or for money on the internet. Since you are the one who asserts expertise on what Mary said and didn’t say at Fatima, you should have already read all of it!

Go to your local library if you like, or shell out your own money for the books that are available on the subject. Here is one that looks reliable and is reasonably priced for you.

My apologies - This one reports her actual words a little more thoroughly. Look for the account of her words to the children in July. And then combine it with her constant exhortations to them to pray the Rosary daily.

Lily while I get caught up and read your links It would be great if you would share a Psalm. For Him.

But of course - one of my favourites:

“Before ever a word is on my tongue You know it, O Lord, through and through. Behind and before You besiege me, Your hand ever laid upon me. Too wonderful for me, this knowledge …” (Psalm 139)

This link helps me understand why you feel the way you do, but I ask again for the official stand of the vision from the vatican, I’m sure that would be my post… Or at least give me something with the NIHIL OBISTAT stamp.

Thank you, it behooves us to be charitable and share God’s word, afterall what greater gift could there be? Peace and blessings.

Simon, Simon Simon … the Vatican as a rule doesn’t investigate or approve apparitions itself, usually it delegates the job to the local Bishop, because they are better equipped to do so. The investigation and approval of the Fatima apparitions was done by a panel guided by the Bishop of Leiria-Fatima, with approval finally being given back in 1930. The mere fact that they spent 13 years investigating it before approval should give some idea of how seriously these things are taken.

Here is the letter of approval. If you want more you’ll need to look for it yourself, since I’m not positive exactly what you’re after.

Nihil Obstats and Imprimaturs are given to published books, in my understanding, not usually to letters or documents of Church officials. Or websites for that matter, which causes no end of headaches when trying to sort the wheat from the anti-Catholic or just plain nutty chaff 😃

If I may chime in, all of Psalm 100 lifts my heart:
Shout joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; worship the LORD with cries of gladness; come before him with joyful song. Know that the LORD is God, our maker to whom we belong, whose people we are, God’s well-tended flock. Enter the temple gates with praise, its courts with thanksgiving. Give thanks to God, bless his name; good indeed is the LORD, Whose love endures forever, whose faithfulness lasts through every age.

Sounds good. You’re not offensive, just trying to find answers like all of us.

If I may send you to sleep with another favourite of mine, from Psalm 92:

‘The just will flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a Lebanon cedar.
Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God,
Still bearing fruit when they are old, still full of sap, still green’

God bless.

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Oh man, I just had a flashback to my misspent youth and Boney M’s song *By the Rivers of Babylon *… truly tragic.

What a great idea!

And I figure, if God can use Caiaphus, a tool of the devil, to utter a prophecy in John, Chapter 11:
But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing, nor do you consider that it is better for you that one man should die instead of the people, so that the whole nation may not perish."
He can use a heathen like you go give us good Catholics something charitable to lift each other’s hearts up!!!

Simon, peace to you, and hope you have a great day, my brother!!!👋

Anyway Christ depended on the heart of Mary, when He was growing inside her.
Imagine the Heart of Jesus beating inside your body, that’s if you were a woman off course, that’s no big deal ?

Jesus depended on the Heart of Mary for Gods role to be accomplished, two ❤️ Hearts ❤️ beating as one, what woman in the world wouldn’t desire that ?

Not saying God couldn’t have brought Jesus into the world in another way, but that’s’ the way God desired it whether we like it or not.

Would it seem so ridiculous that God would want to spread devotion to a heart that kept His Son alive, a heart that gave life to Our Saviour.

Oooooh, I’m totally in. . .

From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you. Psalm 71:6
