I love chocolate orange together - one Christmas they even came out with a chocolate orange Kit Kat bar…

Ghirardelli’s is the choc for me right now, tho I don’t each chocolate much at all. But if I’m at Downtown Disney, that’s where I go for a delectable dessert dripping with gooey chocolately goodness… and sprinkled with nuts of course…

I know it’s not really chocolate, but I LOVE white chocolate. mmmmmmmm

ANYTHING.
Ghirardelli, Lindt, Godiva, Droste, Bonnat . . . Hershey.

But it MUST be dark and the darker the better. And bittersweet. I lke the edge on the flavor and find milk chocolate cloying.
I don’t like Hershey, though. Chocolate should be dark. Milk chocolate doesn’t do it for me, and white chocolate is not really chocolate at all, in my opinion.
Exactly. Milk chocolate is just…blah. You need to be able to taste the cocoa, not just milk and sugar!! I like anything that is truly dark, but Godiva, Ghiardelli, and Dove darks are my faves, depending on what I can get.

Darn, y’all, I’m already PMSing and now you got me thinking about chocolate! My mouth is watering already…http://bestsmileys.com/drooling/4.gif

Way too many:

Ritter with Marzipan (though I don’t usually go for marzipan much)
Lindor (most any of 'em, including the white which is the only kind of white choc I’ll have),
Ferrero Rocher
Nestle Club (very nice dark choc, not too bitter, I can’t go past about 70%)
Australian Cadbury’s (can’t say I’ve tried the British version but it’s almost certain ours is slightly different and better) with almonds or hazlenuts
Guy Lian (a Belgian brand I believe, with hazlenut praline filling, gorgeous)

As a sacrifice for a prayer intention of mine I’ve basically had no chocolate for about seven or eight months now (well, maybe once every six weeks or something). Please God soon I’ll be able to have some!

Ritter Sport Dark with Marzipan and just the plain Dark from Ritter Sport (ok… ANY ritter sport), Tublerone, and finally… Vosges Chocolates (esp, the bacon chocolate bar!)
OK, so I had to check out the bacon chocolate bar. But, I had to take it one step further and click on the Flying Chocolate Pig! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It doesn’t get any better than that, I think. Bacon and chocolate are two of my favorite things. I might actually have to try this sometime.

Has anyone tried the Starbucks chocolates? A little pricey (even at Wal*Mart) but good. Dark chocolate with vanilla bean creme in the center is my fave, but I just saw they have one with chai filling. Have to try that!

If I have to indulge in an emergency, I head to the checkout lines and pick out some kind of dark chocolate candy bar–Snickers, Milky Way, or even M&Ms. One of the benefits (or occupational hazards) of working at Wal*Mart!

I work for Starbucks, so we got to try the new chocolates. They are spendy, but good. The espresso is a bit too espresso-y, but that’s just my taste.

Leonidas, Neuhaus and Godiva in that order. There was a Leonidas shop on my route to university when I was a student and after the exams we used to buy a big box of Leonidas chocolates with fresh cream - Mmmmmm! I love Belgian chocolate.
I really dislike Hersheys.
Gearoidin

what is your favorite brand of chocolate? especially local chocolatiers in your area.
I have been eating dark chocolate (not my fave, but fairly lo-carb source of anti-oxidants and one ounce jolt a day does not blow diet–ghiradelli squares or dove dark)
but I really prefer milk chocolate
Guest brought chocolate for DD’s family and reminded me of the world’s best milk chocolate–Malley’s, a renowned Cleveland company. they have the best Easter basket candies you will ever find and some schools sell them as fundraisers.

do you like solid milk chocolate? cream centers? nutty, caramel, french mints etc?
love fruit flavored creme centers in milk chocolate
HATE coconut centers
Eating large quantities of chocolate is biochemically no different to making love. We’re a nation of pleasure seekers. I’d rather beg the Lord for his grace to help me suffer gladly.

It’s actually not bad. One of my coworkers brought one in for the lab to try. I was pleasantly surprised- had that nice salty/sweet thing going on. If I were a bigger fan of milk chocolate, I probably would have liked it even more.

Sanders walnut butter creams (Detroit confectionery, don’t know if they are still in business) was my fave as a teen, and gift on all occasions. their hot fudge sauce is best ever created on this planet
You mean this Sanders? Morley Candies bought them out and started making all of the old Sanders recipes under the Sanders brand name. They’ve even opened up new Sanders shops around Metro Detroit- which reminds me that the hubby owes me a hot fudge cream puff from the Wyandotte shop. 😃

My parents wisely gave me a jar of the original hot fudge sauce with my birthday present. Forget the cake, give me a hot fudge cream puff with a candle stuck in it!

(For a quick dessert, this stuff can’t be beat. I went to a dinner party at a neighbors where kids would be present, and was asked to provide dessert. One gallon of vanilla ice cream, a jar each of Sanders hot fudge and butterscotch sauce, some whipped cream, and maraschino cherries, and we were set. I think the adults might have liked it even more than the kids. 😃 )

I love the creamy very sweet type of chocolate.

Cadbury’s Dairy Milk and Hershey’s extra creamy, kisses or the Symphony Bars kind comes to mind.

Though I wish I could find a shop in our local area that imported Lion Bars. Haven’t eaten one in years and I’m still craving for it.

This thread makes me hungry every time I notice it.

I gained weight over winter by eating too many of the chocolates already mentioned on this thread. :o I’m dieting now. This isn’t my favorite brand, but for a chocoholic on a diet, I recommend Chocolate or Chocolate Mint Mini Delights by Quaker in 90 calorie packs. They’re little multi-grain cakes with chocolate drizzled over them, and they’re pretty tasty. Eating them helps me resist other chocolate temptations and stay on my diet.

This is a damnable thread! I now have FOUR different brands of dark chocolate in the house, along with a tub of M&Ms. Prior to this thread, NO chocolate in the house! I just bought more chocolate today! When will it end? Is there really such a thing as death by chocolate?
:whacky:

You know, you need to eat that chocolate to keep your strength! 😃

I have one killer craving for it right now. But, I am not going to go buy any chocolate. I might make some chocolate chip cookies, though…👍
