I’m not a fan of Chicago pizza. I tried some when I was in the area five years ago, and it had really thick crust, very little sauce and cheese, and a huge sausage patty that covered the entire thing. I wasn’t impressed- and it cost over $100 to get three pizzas.

I don’t order from chains much. The only one I kinda like is Papa Johns. Otherwise I go to a local pizza joint that my family knows. Eddie Napoli’s is a family owned restaurant that serves real Italian food and NY style pizza.

There is a Donato’s in Winchester, VA but I don’t think it’s a chain, just a family run thing. They do have good food though…

They really do. I think the Costco combination is delicious. 😋 And it’s only $8 for a HUGE pizza. It’s probably one of the most affordable dinner options out there.

Domino’s makes for a tasty bite, however nobody out-pizzas the hut. 🍕

Round Table Pizza on the west coast. All the way.

Pizza Guys or Dominos if you want cheap bachelor discs.

Papa Murphy’s for take-and-bake.

Trick question. The answer is none of the above. Visit your local pizzeria.

Your photo - gave me my first big smile of the day -
Maybe the poster should be called " The Neutered " 😅

I mentioned that we have good local places, but with that said, there are some AWFUL local places too. Generally speaking, I can trust chains to keep to at least a mediocre standard. Some locations will do better than others, but the automated nature of it means that the product will be pretty standard, provided the managers are doing their jobs.

Local places have the freedom to go way above that and sometimes they do, and then you have really, truly amazing food. But honestly, my experience is that many local restaurants are NOT better than chains. Frequently they will be much worse.

Pizza Hut pan pizza–I’m the only one I know who loves it. In my youth I used to ravage their lunch buffet. Sadly (but probably providentially for my health), they don’t have many near me and the closest one does not have the buffet.

(EDIT: if Uno counts, I would say that, but I haven’t had the opportunity to go to one in years)

Good pizza is one of my favorite foods.

I rarely eat pizza because I cannot afford the good pizza in my town.

If there is a work lunch or such and they insist on ordering pizza, I will eat Papa John’s. I will skip the meal if they order Pizza Hut or other chains because I cannot gag that stuff down.

Chicago style pie is in a class by itself, I cannot see it as more than a distant cousin to pizza (a delicious distant cousin!)

I grew up eating Imos. I love Imos. I continue to eat Imos as my go to for take out pizza, even though it’s gotten crazy expensive. I like thin crust pizza. I think Pizza Hut and Dominos crusts are too bready and Pizza Hut is way too greasy. Also, the location near me is infested with roaches.

Papa Murphey’s often has large pizzas for $10 in our neighborhood. I actually like their pizza, though I didn’t include it since it’s take-n-bake. I like their Tai chicken pizza best.

I like Papa Johns now that they gave up their deal with the NFL because of all the non sense protesting.

Favorite pizza is the crustless pizza from Lou Malnatis. No carbs!

Can’t go wrong with Home Run Inn. Frozen pizza are great. Love the baseball.
I like the buttery taste of the crust of Home Run Inn frozen pizza. I absolutely love their frozen pizzas. They taste really fresh when you bake them. I like their sausage and mushroom pizza.

I’m in Wisconsin but we can get them regionally here at our Aldi’s and at our W. Mart store.

We can also get Uno’s frozen pizzas sometimes at some of the supermarkets, too.

That being said, for chain pizza places, the Domino’s in our area and the Pizza Hut in our area are both good. 🙂

For chains probably Papa John’s… but local pizzerias can be a thousand times better.
