My favorite is Giada, then second Paula Deen- BTW her BIL is a priest so DH is not Jewish (sorry is someone bought this up already.)
I like Giada, got her cook book for Christmas. I have to say that her show is my husbands favorite too, but not for the same reasons!!

wasnt Julia Child a spy at one point???
She worked for the OSS, the WWII precursor to the CIA, in the far east I believe. I think closer to a field op gathering signal intelligence than ‘spy’. I do recall she met her french husband there, and attended the Cordon Bleu in Paris under the GI Bill.

Can’t comment on Paula or I might get suspended here on CAF…😉

Ina occasionally cooks kosher, for her husband, who is Jewish.
Not to get you suspended from CAF but what do you have against Paula Deen?

Yes, her BIL is a Priest & from Louisiana. I believe the poster was talking about Ina Garten/Barefoot Contessa, who’s husband is Jewish.

Michael Simon, the new Iron Chef, “Iron Chef America” and “Dinner Impossible”

Guy Fiere (sp?) of “Guy’s BIg Bite”, “Diners, Drivens and Dives” and hosts other shows as well

Aaron McCargo, Jr. (sp?) of “Big Daddy’s House”

I like Ina Garten too. She has had a very interesting life! I have one of her cook books and it’s really nice! Easy to follow and food that we actually eat! You get some of these cook books or cooking magazines and I can’t afford half of the ingredients!!

The only cooking show that I have ever watched and liked was *The Galloping Gourmet * with Graham Kerr. That was a funny show (I was a kid when it was on TV), and I still remember the continued references to “truffles.” I think there was a lot less cooking and a lot more jokes, and maybe that’s why I liked it so much.

I don’t have cable, so I don’t watch cooking shows. I’ve seen a few at work–they seem so boring. The idea of watching someone cook–?! I don’t get it at all. But then, I don’t cook very often, and when I do, it’s strictly Betty Crocker and those church cookbooks where all the recipes contain 1 can of crm of mushroom soup and one pint of sour cream, and a topping of crushed tater chips.

I do have a wonderful cookbook by the Mennonites called More With Less Cooking–now I would watch that if it were on TV.

I like Giada the best. I love the way she dresses. Cooking is such a male dominated profession. It’s nice to see someone bring to femininity to it.

I love Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Guy cracks me up!), Anthony Bourdain, and Ace of Cakes. Andrew Zimmern is interesting to watch, just for the ‘ick’ factor of some of the stuff he actually puts in his mouth. :bigyikes:

You mean low cut and tight as anything? Flashing cleavage is the opposite of truly feminine.

I don’t think her clothes are that revealing. I can buy tops like that at Ann Taylor Loft. I think she always looks tastful. My idea of low cut and trashy is the way Christina Aguilera or Paris Hilton dresses.

Flashing cleavage is flashing cleavage - there ain’t nothing tasteful about it at any time, doesn’t matter where you buy the clothes from.

Giada,s okay but I am not fond of Italian food…

I would prefer the flash of Curtis Stones smile…😃

Take Home Chef is

I’ve never seen Giada flash her cleavage on TV.

Uh huh - this is what I found just from a quick google search.
I don’t think she’s flashing cleavage in either pick really. The one from TV(on the left) she is wearing a sweater over a tank top. The one from the magazine could be a wedding dress.

But can she cook:D

Do you like Italian food?
