I like that non-traditional humor. Which is why I like the TV series āFrasierā too.My husband *hates *that movie. I find it very funny as well.
I also really like Napoleon Dynamite, which he hates as well. But I knew so many socially awkward people in high school (and I was myself), and thereās so much about that ridiculous movie that feels familiar.
But perhaps if youāre well-adjusted it just doesnāt make sense to you.![]()
Oh, for the same reason I canāt mention it to my students.love that one too, but not sure why you would hesitate in listing it.
aha greatJerry Lewis āThe Bellboyā clean, funny, suitable for families![]()
I recently saw āThe In-Lawsā for the first time. That scene is so silly, and to see Peter Falk acting that silly was awesome. I had a great number of laughs. Alan Arkin as the straight laced dentist was great. āThereās no need to shoot at me, Iām a dentist!ā āThere are flames on my car! There are flames on my car!āThe original āIn-Lawsā for sure (āSerpentine, Shel! Serpentine!ā)\
āArsenic and Old Laceā
I love the Peter Sellersā films such as The Pink Panther and A Shot in the Dark. Being There has some hysterical moments as well. I would add to your list, Airplane! and Victor Victoria.Ha!
Love Whatās Up Doc!
(āThatās a persona named Eunice?ā)
And the already mentioned: Galaxy Quest and Some Like it Hot.
Others I canāt resist:
Stripes, Ghostbusters, Groundhog Dayā¦
Withnail & I
Analyze This
Meet the Parents
The Pink Panther
MIdnight Run
His Girl Friday
Bad News Bears
The Goonies
The Producers
Tootsie
Play it Again, Sam
This is Spinal Tap
Breaking Away

I think I saw that one, is there a helicopter scene in it with a panicked Charles Grodin?Hilarious underrated comedy: Midnight Run with Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin.
We own it, but stop and watch it every time we see itās on. Like just last night actually.
āAre you doing the litmus configuration?ā
(Yes, full of cursing, but still funny. Sometimes, the dubbing out of the curses was pretty entertaining too.)
Yes, thatās it!I think I saw that one, is there a helicopter scene in it with a panicked Charles Grodin?
OK, I havenāt seen it for at least 20 years.Yes, thatās it!
See it!! Every time we watch it, we laugh even more. And I probably have seen it 10 times!OK, I havenāt seen it for at least 20 years.![]()
I loved the book, the movie not so much, it suffered from coming out too long after the book.Thank You For Not Smoking
Really ironic humor.![]()
