Put his name down in your book –
Now strike a line through it!

Your widow – Me sister – She coulda done a lot worse

😂 I have used that strike a line phrase with my family. Actually, we say many of the lines from that move and The Godfather at our house. 🤣

Was Tom Cruise able to pull this whole thing off by himself with no stuntman?

I like the end of “We’re No Angels” with Deniro and Penn.

And the ending of “Angels with Dirfty Faces”.

Amazing western with one of the best lines in any Clint Eastwood movie.

Little Bill: “You just shot an unarmed man!”

William Munny: “Then he should’ve armed himself “

When I was in high school that was my favorite movie. I could probably still recite much of the dialogue. 🙂

Yeah that was a great scene.
I’ve avoided watching the sequel because I didn’t want to see Ron Howard and Cindy Williams having marital problems after all that.

My second favorite scene from that movie is the one with Wolfman Jack.

I like the ending of the original 1968 Planet of the Apes where the guy finds out he was on Earth all along.

Perhaps the greatest car chase of all time.
“Bullitt.”
Apologies, I just found this thread so I’m just a few days behind in making comments.

First, this scene is great because it features cars that are cars and not overgrown lawn mowers. Second, it could never be filmed today because it’s clear the scenes in the city WERE BEING FILMED IN LIVE FREAKIN’ TRAFFIC! It sure doesn’t look like they blocked off a couple of streets on Sunday morning to do this.

I always thought it could be explained thus: The Death Star was “orbiting the planet [Yavin] at maximum velocity,” as an off-screen voice announced. The planet’s destruction would mess with the DS’s own orbit, and debris generated by destroying the planet would interfere with DS’s use of its prime weapon later against Yavin IV.

We will leave unaddressed that DS could have de facto destroyed Yavin IV indirectly by in fact blowing up the planet Yavin IV orbits.
And of course, the bad guys never stop to think that the bomb they’re setting off to destroy the heroes? The bad guys are close enough that the blow-back would blow significant debris right into the Death Star.
