no worse then hanging out in internet forums… sheesh!

As for my limited time wasting my life on the tube:

***The O’Reilly Factor
*Hannity and Colmes
*Everybody Loves Raymond
Any horse sport that comes on.
And NASCAR
Honestly, wasting your life watching NASCAR is like giving all your money to Bill Gates.

I love sports, but really don’t like NASCAR

Sounds like there’s a lotta *Monk *fans out there. So, if Adrian Monk was Catholic, he would or would not suffer from scrupulosity—discuss.

Good Eats on FoodTV!

Its like Mr. Science for food…
I second this! My husband and I love watching this show!
I also like Monk, but haven’t seen it in a while (we have an 8 month old baby; enough said 😉 ). Some other favorites: CSI, Law and Order, Star Trek: Enterprise, 7th Heaven, What not to wear (TLC), While you were out, Trading Spaces, and Designers Challenge.

I’ll be brave and admit I like a reality show: The Amazing Race. Although I don’t always watch it–I don’t think I could even tell you what night it’s on, but something in my schedule must click just right for me to turn on the television and find it most weeks. I like the exotic locales and it has less of the whining and over-the-top personalities that I’ve seen on other shows. I like that the married couple won the last race. 🙂

I like West Wing (when do the new episodes start?) and enjoy even the reruns on Bravo (but watch out for the commercials!). Thank goodness people in real life don’t all talk that fast!

I used to like the police/forensic type shows such as Law & Order and CSI, but after a while it felt too dark and depressing to watch too many of these. Voyeuristic too.

I can’t stand the egos of the actors, but Will & Grace often catches my eye. Must be that rapid-fire witty dialogue again. It’s not often a show celebrates and skewers a lifestyle so viciously at the same time.

However, ninety percent of the time the TV is on, it is likely on HGTV or the Golf channel (if hubby is home). I go through spurts with this network. Sometimes I love it and sometimes it seems there is nothing on but the same shows I saw last month. My favorite is “Mission Organization.” I used to love “Clean Sweep” on TLC but we don’t get that channel anymore. We sacrificed it to get rid of Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network/Disney. Small price to pay!

American Dreams! It’s great–the main family on the show are Ctholic! It takes place during the sixties. The children all go to Catholic school, too.

By the way, what station is Monk on? I’ve never seen it!

There are still some good shows on secular TV now - what’s your current favorite? Mine is Monk. I love the character of Adrian Monk and the interplay between him and Sharona. And the love that character has for his late wife is so touching. 🙂
I like Monk too.

I also like Everybody Loves Raymond. I think it is a pretty funny show.

“Scrubs”, “Gilmore Girls”, and “24” are the only ones that I watch weekly.

There are some that I’ll watch if I catch them while flipping channels: “Iron Chef”, “Mythbusters”, “American Chopper”, “Design on a Dime”.

I miss “Futurama”. Cartoon Network repeats just aren’t enough. 😦

Monk
Hercule Poirot mysteries on A&E
Seventh Heaven
American Dreams
24

Not all are free of objectionable material, but overall, I enjoy these shows.

Nicole
I enjoy 7th heaven and American Dreams as well.

Curb Your Enthusiasm. Larry David is a comedic genius! It’s the same reason I can watch Seinfeld over & over.

Why, I think I have found my soulmate!!!😃

I like King of Queens and Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

In Christ,
Nancy 🙂

YES! Love the show! Especially the chemistry. In fact, when he did one on cookies and brown sugar/white sugar ratios, We decided my 3rd grader (who loves to cook) will be doing something similar for the science fair!
ER has always been one of my favorites. What I wasn’t liking for a while though was all the hopping in and out of relationships.(read:bed)
Also I like all the Star Trek Next Generation. Those are REAL MEN. You can feel safe with Picard and Will. Not mamby pamby girlie men! LOL And no question about their sexual orientation.

My all-time favorite show right now is 7th Heaven! I look forward to the new episodes every Monday. I also love The Amazing Race and have recently gotten into Gilmore Girls.

Malcom in the Middle

The Simpsons

Several things on the Food Network, e.g. Good Eats, 30 Minute Meals, any of the Sara Molton shows

The USA Network, Fridays at 10 PM ET (and other times during the week, of course - it’s cable.) 🙂

I’m surprised none of the Joss Whedon fans mentioned Firefly. Simply the best show ever! There are a few things that could be seen as morally objectionable, but he infuses all the shows with philosophical storylines. Objects in Space is an amazing episode, and really showcases the art of television.

The television coverage of Formula One racing is very good; that’s my favorite sport to watch. (Although I’ll also watch all 24 hours of LeMans with dh, and beg him to watch the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction with me each year).

Past that, I love Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis, Scrubs, and Joan of Arcadia, and shows that make me cry like Extreme Home Makeover.

Alias, Without a Trace, Clubhouse

I also enjoy Monday Night Football, and any other Sunday football that involves the Green Bay Packers or Chicago Bears

The Simpsons, CSI, NCIS and Late Night with Conon O’Brien. Hey, I have insomnia really bad ok?!?😛

I have seen Scrubs a few times and laughed pretty hard.

I guess my TV viewing habits are… hmmm, less than holy.:getholy:
