But they got married for sex. IMHO, that’s just as bad to the dignity of the body.

And the way Kevin belittles Lucy and blames her for his faults.

And Annie practically forced Lucy to marry Kevin, even when Lucy was having doubts. Now she puts Lucy down for getting married right away and not having a life and career before settling down.

I used to really enjoy the show, but now I find it really horrible. I watch it to see what depths it has sunk to this week.

Now, please let us not get into a flame-war over the merits and demerits of 7th heaven.
Yes, there’s no point in getting in to an out-and-out debate, but I don’t agree. Lucy and Kevin got married because they love each other. I haven’t watched every episode, but I don’t really think Lucy is belittled. I do get tired of her being portrayed as such a whiny little tart, but what are you going to do. I think the moral messages surpass the sometimes inadequate messages. To each his own…maybe it just looks so good because of all the other garbage on TV. I happened to love the epidose from several months ago where Lucy gave her first sermon. It was about waiting for marriage to have sex. Very touching.

Joan of Arcadia
Lost
24
Monk (when I used to have expanded cable)
House
Nanny 911

Shows I watched in the early seasons but didn’t keep up:
NYPD Blue
ER
Alias

In the old days I loved:
30 something
Seinfeld
PeeWee’s Playhouse
Hill Street Blues

In the old old days:
I Love Lucy
Dick Van Dyke Show
Bewitched

The new Battlestar Galactica! The old one was awsome too, but the new one on Sci-Fi is the best sci-fi show in a long time. I could do with a little less sexual content, but otherwise it is great.

I have to agree with Monk, love that show. I also saw Gilmore Girls mentioned. Also a guilty pleasure of mine. I have a daughter named Lorelei too 😉 . We always watch CSI. Love Alton! I love the food network. I also like to watch Mythbusters on the Discovery channel. We get all of the science channels, so we watch a lot of that. I also like to watch Raymond. I like to watch the EWTN primetime lineup. We usually switch over to that if we have a repeat or a really interesting topic is going to be discussed. On Friday nites we watch Numb3rs. I loved Rob Morrow in Northern Exposure and I love him in this show as well. We also watch the Sunday night lineup on FOX.

I like to watch the following (don’t think ill of me due to the length of the list).

24 - The best show on TV
Joan of Arcadia
JAG
Numbers
Monk
Simpsons
Family Guy - I love Stewie
Las Vegas
Scrubs
Star Trek - Next Gen
NCIS
CSI - Original & Miami
Law & Order - Original & SVU
Special Report w/ Brit Hume
Modern Marvels - History Channel
Engineering Disasters - History Channel
Mail Call - History Channel
American Chopper - Discovery - what a family
Mythbusters - Discovery
Seinfeld
MASH
South Park
Futurama
King of the Hill
Dilbert
MLB - GO CUBS!!!
NFL - GO CHIEFS!!!
NASCAR - GO JUNIOR!!!

While reading through this list, please keep in mind that now the TV has become background noise while caring for our 1 mo old. How life has changed.

DH and I watch “24,” “The Apprentice” and “American Idol” together. 🙂

I also like to watch the Nanny shows on Monday nights.

(As a side note to those who were talking about “7th Heaven”…my sisters and I used to watch that several years ago and scream with laughter over the pure cheesiness of it. 🙂 We STILL have dumb inside jokes over it, years later–quoting people on the show, basically. ;))

A good friend of mine never watched TV until her baby was born. Now she says she has it on all the time. And, I’m afraid I have to disagree with you about your choice of MLB and NFL teams. 😉

Lately I have been watching HGTV a lot. I like Design on a Dime and The Painted House. There aren’t really any new shows that I watch. My husband and I used to watch Alias when it was on Sundays but we stopped watching this season.

I do like some of the science and historical documentaries on the various channels. 🤓

***KimPossible!!!

(my husband and I are 30 and 34, and we watch disney Channel after the kids are asleep- regular tv is too  if we are up at 12:30 am- YEA!!! KimPossible time!!! :bounce:**

OK, these are ones I like. I don’t watch tv all the time, but when I do watch tv, I will watch some of these.
Law & Order. The original. I hate SVU-it seems as if every time I tried to watch it, it was involving crimes against children.
ER mostly in reruns.
Everybody Loves Raymond I cried at the series finale. I was also hoping for a baby announcement from Amy and Robert
MASH
Friends
Family Matters
Full House
And my all time favorites Reba
Who’s Line is it Anyway
Of course, Kim Possible is great, too. I will also watch historical documentaries and medical programs if I happen to find one.

Well, as I’ve said before: Amazing Race is my favorite. 🙂 Also have a guilty pleasure in watching all those plastic surgery makeover shows on DiscoveryHealth station and ABC Extreme Makeover. (the home edition is good too though!) It is crazy what they can do these days… Ummm, what else, I don’t really watch anything else regularly. At night I like to watch old shows like MASH or if I’m reliving my childhood, Full House and Fresh Prince of Bel Air. 😛

I like 7th Heaven, but it is so cheesy sometimes that you have to laugh at it.
And whoever said they like Kim Possible? Count me in! 👋 I’m almost 22 and I love it!

For old times sake, did you guys watch the singing episode earlier this year?:o Man, oh, man, was it embarrassing…I kept watching like it was a train wreck that you just can’t look away from!

I guess my favorite show right now is Veronica Mars.

I did enjoy American Dreams. Other favorites are Malcolm in the Middle, Lost, Desperate Housewives, and 24.

I watch 7th Heaven purely for the snark value. Annie’s crazy, Lucy’s a shrew, Kevin is controlling. We have a Catholic who apparantly has little interest Catholic law re marriage, and doesn’t seem to care that much about the children’s faith.

I like L&O and CSI, but it’s okay if I miss them.

And I’m so sick of that “War on Choice” poster on Gilmore Girls. It distracts me from aly dialogue when it’s included in a scene. Otherwise, it’s an enjoyable enough show but it’s not appointment TV.

Grounded for Life was a cute show. They also sent their children to Catholic School.
I knew a Catholic school teacher who considers “Grounded for Life” to be offensive, because even though they send their kids to Catholic school, they encourage their sexually active daughter to use condoms.
