I love the Time Life Treasury of Christmas that was advertised on TV a couple of years ago. It’s a four disc set that has all the classic Christmas songs, sung in the traditional manner by the artists that made them famous. Typically I don’t go for TV advertisements, but the commercial for this CD set showed a lot of nostalgic Christmas home videos from the 1950’s and played songs by Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and Nat King Cole while advertising the CDs. The commercial had a Norman Rockwell kind of theme going for it, and that’s actually what sold me. It was a good purchase. If you want a nice Christmas music collection, all you need are these CDs.
