As well-designed as the computers might be, I just think back to all the times I didn’t do anything wrong and ended up with the blue screen of death on my screen. What happens when you get it too close to a magnet? Does it reset, like a credit card? I can’t put my full confidence in a computer. I could do the conspiracy theory thing, but I don’t feel like it right now. I’m not jumping on the cattle truck…hemm, hemm, I must have something in my throat…the bandwagon.

Maybe one day it will be a good idea, but right now, I would much prefer if a doctor gets my primary care physician on the phone, or at least someone in records to get my medical history.

I agree with the poster that says we can do all this in a card, perhaps a national card. Maybe when we travel we should have a world card. As it is now, I know I am tracked from morning till night due to my use of credit cards, preferred customer grocery store cards, the tollway I-Pass that we use in Illinois, my ATM card, etc. Gee, my daughter is in Spain studying right now and I can track her by her credit card expenses.

Medical info would be a life saver, but not to be put in the body! That is just gross!

The only draw back to a card is that you may not have it with you when it is needed most, like if you house caught on fire at 2a.m. and the firemen pulled you out and rushed you to the hospital. I am not saying the chip idea is great, just that it should be explored and available to anyone who wants it. It should not be mandatory. There is a lot of room for abuse with a chip and the danger of a government over reaching the privacy boundary is very real. I fear foreign governments tracking me more than ours. The idea needs a lot of work but so did the automobile in 1902.

Does this make anyone else uneasy???

FDA approves computer chip for humans

It says it’s for medical info. I don’t like the idea one bit. I wonder how many people will opt for this???
This is very scary. I don’t know what to say. I am afraid that our society is becoming more utopian like in the books and less human and individual oriented. This scares me a lot. I will pray

Well, it beats having ear tags, and less painful too. I wonder if they could add GPS. You would always know where your kids are!
