Fear of losing our home

My husband is in dire need of a job within the next couple of weeks or we may lose our home. If it was just the two of us, I could handle it, but we have two children at home. We’ve been near this point a handful of times in the last 10 years as my husband has had terrible experiences with jobs and continues to get layed off as companies downsize. I have chronic illness challenges and am unable to work at this time.

Overall the last few years have helped our faith to grow and our trust in God to grow, but these last few weeks have been so hard and for the first time in a long time I feel doubts creeping in and wonder why God isn’t providing a good job for my husband.

We live very modestly, have a small home, don’t eat out or do much of anything extra at all, just pay the bills and buy groceries (everything that’s on sale and cheap). I just don’t know what else to do.

Please pray for us. Thank you.

We lost ours when my husband became ill some years ago, therefore I pray the more sincerely to God that you will be able to keep yours. :hug1:

Father in Jesus’ name, let Didi’s husband find secure employment. Please bless the faith and faithfulness of this couple with Your generosity. Help Didi to cope with her ill-health, and if possible, to recover.

Didi, I will be praying for you and your family. I understand what you are going thorugh having been out of work several years ago.

We recently went through a similar situation due to a bank error that put our home in forclosure without us even knowing it until we get a letter regarding the auction date.

It has taken 6 months to rectify the problem but through the Grace of God and countless prayers everything is OK now.

Although it seems dark and hopeless at times, put your trust in God and pray to Our Lady for help. We prayed as a family every day and even made a Mary garden to remind us of the graces she can provide.

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.

Father, please grant employment to
Didi’s husband. Give them the ability
to earn a living and pay their bills.
We beg of you to heal Didi of her medical
problems so that she too may be able

Lord God,
You are the Great and Mighty One,
You can do anything and everything,
We come to You today asking you to spare Didi and her family from losing their home.
You own the cows on a thousand hills and we ask you help them as they need a place for their children and them.
Lord, you know how hard it is having been homeless, without a place to lay your head, the birds of the air had nests, but you had nothing.
Please let them keep their home.

I am praying very hard for you and your husband, and I ask that the Lord do what is necessary so that your husband finds employment and you are able to keep your home. I will remember you in my prayers when I pray the rosary tonight.
 
Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on Didi, husband, and her family.
 
Thank you so much. We just returned from my mother-in-law’s funeral, which means several days without any income as my husband is currently doing odd jobs until he finds employment. People stepped forward to help us afford the trip to the funeral, for which we are so thankful, but now the fear of how to pay bills has returned. Your prayers are so appreciated.

We too have been in this situation several times. I am praying for your family and the financial situation. Do not lose faith!

Hello Didi,

I am glad to see that we’re not the only family who is economizing. We haven’t children yet, but even the boarder we took in to offset our bills has been laid off. I posted this before, but am going to pray it again for each financial thread I run across tonight:
Good St. Joseph, protector of the home and foster father of the Redeemer, you were entrusted with the life of the Saviour in times of poverty, oppression, and and fear, yet you still did your best to provide for your family.

Many people on this board are suffering financially. For each thread, open your heart and send your intercession before the Father on our behalf.

Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted.

Full of confidence in your power , we fly unto you and beg your protection. Despise not, O Guardian of the Redeemer, our humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer us.
