So, I’ve begun trying to say a rosary every day. Sometimes it’s in the evening, sometimes it’s during lunch break, etc… What I’ve noticed is that during the Our Father, and focusing on (most of) the mysteries, I feel a deep kind of feeling–I don’t know really how to explain it.
The issue is when I’m saying the Ave’s or the Hail Holy Queen. I don’t feel as connected during those times, and it lets doubt slip in about the effect that these prayers have. I try to ignore it, but it’s like: “Our Father Who art in Heaven…” = warm and fuzzy, “Hail Mary, full of grace…”=nothing.
I figure maybe it’s the enemy trying to make me doubt the Blessed Virgin’s intercession, but what can I do to feel a deeper connection to Marian prayers or prayers for saintly intercession?
