Feeling like giving up...

Hey, keep your head up. Even though there may be dark times ahead, it can’t rain all the time. I know God takes care of all His children, the ones that are aborted, and even the ones that choose to have the abortion. This reminds me of my old football coach who was the cliche king. He always said, quitters never win, and winner never quit. This fight isn’t over by a long shot, and I know that with prayer everything will be all right.

I have been active in prolife activism for several years. Not in front of clinics (the frontlines) but with legislative action, different political groups, etc.

Right now, I just feel like giving up. I can’t ignore the reality of what is going on with our legislative direction - local, state, federal.

Last week I did go to a PP and a man said he was paying for his girlfriend’s abortion because otherwise she was going to through out his “stuff”-clothes, music, etc. And he didn’t deny it was a baby.

I haven’t been on CAF for months. I don’t know where to turn. I can barely pick up a rosary, listen at Mass or utter a short prayer to God.

There are other fronts in the war than the battle to get laws on our side. There is the fight for the hearts and minds of individual women, their families & boyfriends, and the abortion industry workers.

Also we have to keep trusting in God. God might be allowing the pendulum to go to the other side temporarily so that it can swing back with greater force. Perhaps the FOCA debate will mobilize the pro-life people who’ve forgotten about the issue.

Also, remember what all the prayers and sacrifices offered for this election have accomplished: three states that had “homosexual marriage” agendas on their ballots were defeated!
