I am a former Navy wife. Find some good Navy wives to pal up with. (There’s a variety so be wise
) He has no control when he ships out, how long ships out for and if they decide to change it. I know its upsetting but its kind of like resenting him for a snow storm -he has no control over it.
You already are married, and he signed up for the Navy which he belongs to them for I’m guessing 3 more years so there is no use reflecting on what you would have done differently. Know you have a very stable income so in this economy that is a positive. What you have to decide is how you will best handle it. Can you go home to visit family while he’s gone? Either that or like I said find a good group of Navy wives to help be your support system.
Back in the stone ages before internet -sometimes a month would go buy before I even was able to receive a call or letter. So try to find the positives and be ready to be flexible. You will find out what a strong woman God made you to be. When he gets back the reunion is always great (absence makes the heart grow fonder) but you’ll also be used to running things your way and he may actually get on your nerves a bit at first until you adjust to being a couple again -at least I found it that way in my case.
Hang in there.
